the 94 og kicks the remakes ass. the movies perfect just the way it is & never needed a damn remake. a 3d version & 30th anniversary rerelease were awesome but not a fucking remake & sure af not another damn one. my brother & i r twins & we were born in 94. we saw it both times & i’ll always be thankful they let see it in theaters. besides this i never saw the damn remake, probably never will & im never gonna see that mufasa crap either

Scar tricked just about everyone, telling Simba what the shadowy place is so he would go, Zazu and Mufasa by pretending it was a random stampeed and pretending to help before killing Mufasa, the Hyenas because they thought they would get more food if Scar is King but they really ended up worse off. Then every other animal into thinking he was taking over legitimately. The only characters he didn't con were probably Timon and Pumbaa.

God, the voice acting sucks so bad in the remake, lol. With all due respect to Chiwetel and the late great James Earl Jones, something is just really off with the delivery of those most dramatic lines from the original. It doesn’t feel like there’s any emotion behind Mufasa’s pleading for help, and Scar’s inflections on “long live the king” just don’t sound sinister like they did in the first. Simba’s “noooo” at the end is just laughable.

the difference between 1994 and 2019 1994 the wildebeests look like they are fleeing in terror 2019 looks like they are just going for a jog and because of the lack of facial expressions in Simba he doesn't look as terrified then the 1 in 1994 and Mufasa's death Mufasa in 2019 sounds more commanding then pleading and instead of throwing Mufasa off the cliff scar just slaps him and the screaming from Simba sounds like he lost a game of Fortnite compared to 1994 where Simba sounds terrified and Mufasa's screams sound so dull and the extreme slow motion for his fall don't help the scene at all just everything about the 2019 version sucks

if mufasa had treated scar correctly and if lord king scar had been installed as the sole heir to the throne, none of this would have happened

The realization of what’s happening in Mufasas eyes in the original, along with scars most evil voice saying “long live the king!” Is one of those moments that will live forever.
