Hey if you do come to No Name come over and say hello I'll be there Wednesday before helping set up and I'll leave Sunday morning Sorry you got covid and couldn't finish your truck in time but there is always next year I've been looking at aftermarket kits for the 4 link setup but I think if I do it I'll just get a back half kit from some one and cut the frame and weld it in Last question how long was shipping on the hood?

I was hoping to get to talk to you there, I have an awesome idea for 4 link kit that will allow you to keep the stock tank if you want to. It took 12 weeks to get my hood from the time I ordered it

Excellent video! Love the hood! I feel attacked...lol. just kidding. You are correct in saying my Z tie rod links didn't correct anything. They were necessary for frame clearance. Because my severely lowered ride height using van control arms I had to raise my tie rod pivot at the spindle a lot to bring bump steer back to a reasonable amount.

Hi, what is a "Jonny joint"?
@lowerysgarage
@lowerysgarage Ай бұрын
@expressogino3971 Jonny Joints were built by John Currey for off-road, rock crawlers, and are kind of like hime joints . But are heavier, Teflon lined, rebuildable, and grease able. I hope that helps

I was considering Johnny Joints on just one end of my bars, as my mounting is different than yours. Infinite articulation angle and im using a Heim joint on the A arm. I still have my factory bars and a machine shop down the road if I find that the lower control arms are unstable while driving. I dont see it deflecting more than factory L chassis mopars from 2006 to 2024.

The best product is one that's made to order, profitable, and doesn't cost you anything if you don't make them. My gauge panels for these trucks have been doing fine with that strategy. If someone is complaining about the price, then they can make their own if they can that is.

When I get around to it, I am doing a power rack on a d150. I will be using a Mustang 2 rack. It has 6in. of travel and 24.25in between the pivot points. That's as close as I could to the stock drag link. Thank you for watching

In general... a rack and pinion vehicle will have shorter spindle arms than a gearbox spindle arm. I did a narrowed Pinto rack on an S10 but kept the S10 spindles and lost turning radius because the spindle arms were too long.
@lowerysgarage
@lowerysgarage 3 ай бұрын
The only reason I didn't go into using shorter spindle arms is that it's not really an option with stock d150 spindle. Changing to deferent spindle openings hole new can of worms. Thank you for watching and commenting
