it’s 7 minutes of actual work, ofc it won’t dry up unless you use I don’t know a hair dryer which obviously I don’t recommend. This method is best suited for bulk painting when you let one model dry and you work on 5-6 at the same time

Painting itself takes around 4-5 minutes per base, the drying of the mordant earth is unfortunately quite long. So I recommend doing all the bases at once (you can switch to models in the meantime :) ). You could theoretically use the hair dryer BUT if you overdo it the paint will crack and fall from the base.

Sadly I believe the model will be to bright. If you want to start with grey seer, You can try a contrast method using first drybrush of white( f.e. Corax white) and then applying quite a thin coat of dark angels green. The effect will be different BUT most certainly a dark angel model :)

this is how i painted mine at first but after a squad i switched to drybrushing the iron metallic over black from a different tut and i'm a hell of a lot happier with them now!

How do u access the areas behind the gun like the belly? All the videos I’ve seen rarely show that part :(

Unfortunately, The reason for not showing those, being the tutorials are either a speedpaints and then those elements are not as „tidy” as the clearly visible part or if the painter is determined to create a perfect model he paints the parts separately. For example, In case of space marines the hands are glued to the gun but not to the torso, then they’re painted before actually being glued. No matter the level of the detail though, as those parts of the model are not as important as the ones visible on „approach” they do not generate the excitement factor and attention grabbing of the short video. So the content creators skip this mostly. Hope this helps, to explain the lack of those:)

Don’t you worry, first minis almost always looks off. Painting minis is like tennis the idea is simple but getting it done right is quite hard. Try using a bit less paint, if you think there is too much of it go for water to thin it down. You will see results and improvements very quickly :)

From an observer point of view do not take this as criticism. It still looks amazing, but I highly suggest using a more brighter neon green. It really pulls the eye if you’re going for more of a popping type of radioactive like cracked ground then this will work as well, but consider doing this. Try to make some neon green colors with hints of slight yellow. I would suggest making the colors offset on the base so that one part of it might be a little bit different than other than applying the cracking paint that might cause a bit of a slight variation of color, making the effect of different pulsations of radiation within the ground like a spot that’s more active and other spots are a little bit more Doler, you should take cork the same thing that you literally were painting the platform on and shred it with a cheese grater until it’s very fine paint mix that with a little bit of black paint painted on to your base once it dries you’ll have a rough textured base super cheap and it looks good for terrain then apply the different colors of neon green and yellow green mix in various spots then apply the black cracking paint it’ll add depth, texture, and variety of radioactive type environments on the floor base and if you want to add a little extra it take a few to place it on there after you’ve already sprayed the tufts to be a little bit more Denji and possibly dead and radioactive ground try it out for me. I would love to see the results

Yeah, unfortunately GW decided to discontinue this paint :( Vallejo has an equivalent called lava texture but it ain’t the same. If you manage to find a pot of mordant earth don’t hesitate, it’s a useful tool :)

In old lore, Necrons had a unit called Pariahs which were human, necron hybrids that were immune to psychic abilities. They were retconned in later editions and I believe this is alluding to the possibility of them coming back

I loved them back in the day. In the first dawn of war game when they appeared, They were the only necron unit able to speak in understandable to us language. They got replaced by the lychguard in 2008 but before that I remember them as a potent necron melee wall in the tabletop. There was an army rule that if you lost more than 75% of army the necron units phased out and You basically lost. They were usually the last 25% :D

Actually that’s very common among IW players to use mk3. I too think of this pattern armour as the best match for them. They tend not to die easily like word bearers so they still have a tons of stuff from HH (and the most ways to actually manufacture them):D

But before I make a short on that, try using white primer, then apply wholly imperial fist contrast paint. Wait for it to dry up and apply a mix of gryphhound orange and lahmian mix 2:1. Then cover the plates/rised areas with a mix of trollslayer orange and imperial fist(as this is mixed with yellow, there’s gonna be at least 2 coats as those are nasty colours to paint)

Primaris is what are called the new space marines introduced by guilliman and belisarius cawl. Almost all chapters currently possess at least a company of them. Even fanatical black templars

In SM Titus has 2 stubs in head and each one of those stubs symbolize 1 century of service, with Titus being "interrogated" for a century that means that Titus at least had another 2 hundred years before SM2 starts unless they gave him a stub due to resisting a demon corrupted Inquisitor for that century.
