ur missing the easiest base defense tactic and the reason every1 settles there. build a fookin moat lad. medieval kings used it for a reason! build a gate on one side, then have an opening in your walls at the furthest point of the lake, and construct around it to make a "kill box". for extra sadism, proceed to place metal fences in a vertical pattern, making them swim 5x the length instead of being able to swim straight across. watch in glee as any attackers get fucking d dayed, mowed down with their rotting corpses floating in the lake as bait for animals for meat. ggez

@@Bryien To be fair though, I never bother with athletics training. I do basically what you were doing. New recruits get backpacks full of iron and a dead creature/enemy on their shoulder. I set them a job of filling water tanks from the well and organise their inventory so they can only pick up one barrel at a time. They do that till str = 60 ish

Turn on block mode actually slows the defense training, because your defense status rises and the diference between you and your oponents changes. The most lower your status more xp you gain

Im confused, you get more athletics exp if you dont carry anything heavy. What you train instead is strength not athletics. I guess you meant strength to run with supplies?

Athletics stat is trained through running WITHOUT encumbrance, you are actually training strength
