I found one of those, WORKING in 1979/80. I was riding my dirtbike in the oilfields west of Coalinga. Ran over a cable. No biggie. As I passed pverit though, i noticed it was MOVING!!. That demanded an investigation. Turned around and followed it to the CPU and the pumpjack. The CPU was running 3 jacks still. My mom, who grew up on a lease (25D) in the 30's called them "jack lines". Kids would walk them on dares back then. The one I found fan nearly 100 yards. Thanks for the video.

Anyone know why these are right hand drive? Seems like a Texan would tend towards left hand drive.

Hello this is marvin hammond of artesia nm I'm looking for a derrick for one of my wooden cabletool rigs like the one in the museum the witchta spudder im trying to restore mine to use im a 5 generation cabletool driller and would like to keep it going .if you know of any masts around the area let me know thanks
