I’m very interested in going into Music Therapy - because I love psychology and music - but I feel like in many ways I lack the communicative skills to do such a thing. I also... don’t work well with children yet, so that wouldn’t be good either.

Can you be a music therapist if you are strictly a woodwind/brass instrument player, or do you *have* to play percussion, guitar, and sing? Just wanted to ask because I am a wind player and like wind instruments...

You would need proficiency in piano, guitar and voice in order to do the clinical work aspect of being a MT

You can enter into the program on a wind instrument and that would be your primary instrument. Sorry this is three years later but hey I thought I would still answer your question.
