I inherited a pair on a 2018 BMW R1200GS that I just bought. Front is nearly shot and the rear is about 50%. I haven’t done a lot of black top as I have a farm background. So a road bias for me is advantageous. I’ve done 3000 km in a few weeks of all terrains, heavy loaded and light solo. I can’t fault these things on road and very surprisingly, off road. Now I’m not doing deep sand, mud (not keen on washing) or snow/ice (I’m in Australia where it doesn’t exist). But on gravel and 4wd tracks these things are making me question if I need anything more aggressive off-road. 150kph feels very comfy on open dirt. I’ll buy another front and see how I go.

Si hubieras mirado las instrucciones te habrías dado cuenta que la grasa se pone en el borde superior del labio del filtro. Has puesto la grasa donde es inútil ponerla.

easy peasy with the k&n. But it is a bit to tight. Most filters you'd go 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn if you cant put a torque wrench on it. this one was over a full turn 😃

You won’t get any more power using a K&N air filter, it will just pass more dirt into the engine and will do long term damage. It’s funny how people think the engineers somehow messed up the air box design and purposely made it restrictive for any particular reason? Who knows more about that Triumph motorcycle, the engineers who designed and built it, or K&N? The engineers know exactly how much air the engine needs and gets under all running conditions. Products like K&N depend on public ignorance to sell their product. Nobody knows more about the engine than Triumph engineers. I’m a retired qualified mechanic with over 40 years experience, so I have a much better perspective on this than someone who’s not qualified and just dabbles in it. I know enough to know what I don’t know, and I don’t know squat about engineering. So I know the OEM air filter will protect the engine as much as it can be.

That filtering issue you encountered at the stop light is interesting. I always filter to the front, stay between the cars, then take a quick glance at the drivers to either side, to try to gauge their intentions. If one or the other pulls away aggressively, I let them go, then filter in behind them. “No ego” is the zen way.
