Amazing. A great rendition of an old folk song by these two women who are world class masters of Vivlaldi's mandolin pieces. It is a joy to see them so creative playing something very different. Greeting from New York.

This piece used to be known as the P16, after Marc Pincherle, a Vivaldi scholar who wrote a biography on Vivaldi and defined a numerical reference system of his own to identify the works of Vivaldi

Longer ago than I care to remember, my mother gave me a casette with this lovely, lively concerto as the lead selection. I was expecting Waylon Jennings! No regrets, it was very kind of her to think of this. I'm still a fan of WJ but Vivaldi and this work in particular takes me to wider, brighter horizons.

So sad that the best music I’ve heard was recorded by the worst camera work I’ve seen. Why is it we were never allowed to actually see the musicians’ hands working their magic on their instruments?

Elena ! I have listened to your Castello 12 years and 8 years ago and commented it ( under the name of Zenor31000 at that time ). And I came back to day to listen it again by curiosity, asking myself : is it always as amazing now as it was then ? AND IT IS ! Always the best version I know after having heard hundreds of violin, recorder, cornetto, serpent versions. I have nothing to add to my Zenor comment except that you are a one of the greatest artist I ever heard in my 76 years long life !

That is a baroque cello, they have no floor spikes and are gripped between the knees.
