Omg this man killed his fish lol why would you clean your filter or ANYTHING in your tank with bleach?? Lol poor fish 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ I hope nobody followed this… clean your filters with tank water and they arent supposed to look new bro… just clean enough for the water to pass through them you literally just killed every single bit of beneficial bacteria you had on that filter and I’m pretty sure in your tank when you put that thing back in there 🤦🏾‍♂️ watch more videos and educate your self before you go out giving others advice genius

Make sure the blower fan is working properly, spinning freely. If not, you might finding yourself replacing the resistor unit multiple times.

Should have only hold the Allen and turning the nut.,I tried also the Allen and rurnt it also

Hey buddy just look where your oil fill is there is two bolts and two at the bottom the tank will slide to your right then it will come off and the rest you will see . Note when readjusting the coil take a business card place over the magnet and slide the coil till it touches the card and tighten it up if you still have no spark disconnect the plug to your kill switch and you will have spark but you will have to disconnect spark plug boot to shut it off you should have a rubber boot on it so you will be fine to touch it to unplug it ONLY IF THE RUBBER BOOT IS ON IT ONLY

Very informative and helpful. I would add that you need to disconnect the battery before working on the dash or steering column. An accidental airbag deployment can kill you.

I found the blade with search for MTD online, but a local shop also had the blades I think they do mailorder if you still need it.

The nut is for rod to hold up the chute.

I think the original part blades are probably better than some after market replacement blades you find online.Original part is about $50.00 per blade and some online replacements are $15.00. There must be a difference in hardness and quality for that price difference.

I used several and the $15 blades did hold up fine.

Thanks. This is helpful. Mine is a model 452G709 - very similar to this one, but with a Briggs OHV engine. I bought it in 2007. I have never changed the blades, and today, after trimming some dead limbs from a Japanese red maple tree, I REALLY need new blades. Now I see that this is a straightforward process.

Hey my speeds are off completely! like 1-3 blow the same just a tiny little bit but at 4 it blows properly at maximum. Any ideas on how to tweek it ?

There doesnt seem to be a tweek adjustment, it can still be the blower resistor, but might want to have it checked I would not guarantee it all the time.
