It took 20 years for this song to see the light of day, and 30 before it found its way to some kind of internet archive for posterity. It is a piece of parody lovingly made by some of the same smiths who brought out a renaissance of animated film. It is as much art as its source material; beautiful, memorable... >:D I can't *WAIT* for the Disney copyright claim >:D

Oh don't worry this was claimed within seconds of me uploading it XD I didn't even try to fight that reality.

Thank you so much for this breakdown. You have given me all the joy, anger, frustration, and sadness over the development of this show as I had with the Gollum game. It feels so emblematic of biting off more than you can chew. Projects like this with important lore or real-world parallels take so much time and love and education and drive to get done. HGS should have been a web cartoon helping the team get into a real studio.

Tbh I really liked Lois’s whole lies and secrets thing. Like while she hates her dad for doing those things, that’s what she’s learned from him. Kind of like the whole strict parents raise sneaky kids thing. Her dads an army/government guy, she’s probably had her whole life uprooted multiple times without knowing what exactly it is he’s doing. I can see how she would be able to brush off what she does as little white lies, but she disagrees with the idea of bigger lies. Like she can lie, but she’s just lying as part of her bigger quest to uncover the truth.

She has like a strong sense of justice and issues with authority. It seems hypocritical of her to say she hates liars, but it makes sense when you look at her actions. This is kind of unrelated but how do we think she would’ve voted in the 2016 election? Cause tbh I could see her voting for Trump.

Norville has a bunch of pictures of ghosts from the old show on his walls when the 'point' which i use loosely here was for this show to be a prequel -_-

Louis or whatever her name is written as looking actually cute and femenine (stupid masculine hairstyle that wasn't popular on the time period aside) was the most shocking part of this show

Not very far in, but I really appreciate that you show what music is playing when it first starts playing in the video!

27:39 I do gotta ad Lolirock is another really good magical girl show who has more influence on Precure than sailor moon, from the more physical fights, transformations, outfits and it’s def its own thing too which is amazing!

I think new magic became more balanced and just simply balanced if it worked like terrasphere acts like battery and power source, mayhe it allow to use more powerful magic but if terrasphere is uncharged it will be absolutely useless, also they should be chargable only with specific instrument and it will take time, also overusing new magic lead to more rot

1:26:15 bisexuality is useless outside of polyamorous relationships. It's just gay dudes that want to give their conservative parents hope and straight women that want to feel special.
