Is this a Tani Otoshi? I like how you do it without really risking injuring his knee. All the judo videos say it’s a dangerous move because you can sit on the persons knee and bend it sideways. Any tips on how to do it correctly like you are?

I had always told my son that if he got in trouble for defending himself or another kid, he could consider it a vacation. He wouldn’t be in trouble from me. The only people that needed to worry were the school personnel that allowed the bullies to play their games.

Woooow, amazing!! You know I've trained 13 years in Brazilian jiu jitsu but I have never trained at a Gracie jiu jitsu academy and I would love to absolutely love to. Gracie jiu jitsu follows My philosophy for grappling as a self-defense whereas Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a game and a sport really a chess match.

Seriously, I would like to see these self defense techniques where the attacker is the bigger person. Really, there are better ways to bring the attacker to the ground where you do not need to go with them into a concrete, etc surface, and finally, pain compliance is the hardest way to control someone. Did like the giftwrap.

My boys have been in BJJ for 7mos. With 1 month under their belt, both had to handle a larger bully on the same day. Same bully, same tactics Daniel described. My youngest threw the kid in a straight arm lock. My oldest did a rear naked choke and the kid blacked out. On their 93rd day, they both earned Bronze medals at their first tournament. BJJ is hands down the greatest gift young kids can receive. It teaches them discipline, gives them structure for self defense but in the end, gives them amazing tools to not only defend themselves but someone else who might be getting bullied. I wish I had started them in it years ago! But at 11 and 10, they’re doing alright now and I hope they keep with it for the rest of their lives. Great video! And we’ll done Daniel! Hopefully you haven’t had to deal with much since this video posted.

I got hurt by uncontrolled body weight. Got hurt by starting in a standing position I was new and the person went for a takedown and did a sweep from my back and dislocated my knee cap. I’m scared to train again once I’m Healed. Can I do bjj from starting on the knee instead? Will that be safer

I’m getting a lot better compared to the beginning but I still have maybe 1 or 2 more months till I’m back on my feet I think. But my question is if I go back due to me having a prior knee injury do u think I should avoid stand up and just start from the ground or knees to avoid takedowns. I’m a white belt and I’m really bummed out about the whole thing.

@@seagreen01 I actually was able to get the tattoo and went to practice in 3 days, looks just fine and no infection, it all depends on how you take care of it and your artist. One my of tattoos took about a good 2-3weeks to heal and it was my first tattoo but that’s because my artist went too deep into the skin, I recently got one on my arm no cover and waited until it started to peel when I went back, looks just fine and this is my second week. In conclusion, it all depends on your artist and your aftercare but after a couple days you should be fine to jump back on the mats 👍

@@NutACTIVATED also doesn’t help that I really only like big pieces too. My coach basically said “if you want the right answer maybe wait at least a week and roll light for at least 3, of you want the jiu jitsu rat answer fuck it 2 a days day after”
