Do you have the link for the midpipe? I’m pretty sure I pulled the same one out of a junkyard but missing the pipes that connect to the first cats. I have the invidia axle back on and it’s pretty quiet

Was it loud below 3000 rpm like aftermarket axle back exhaust? Looking to get midpipe with stock exhaust too but concerned that it will sound the same as if i put on Axle backs. thoughts?
@Boosted4474 жыл бұрын
On the outside, the car has a loud start up when engine is cold. Once it’s warmed up it’s pretty normal. Inside the vehicle it is not loud at all, unless you Gun it (it will scream). I wanted to keep a stock look and not make it too loud or noticeable. Obviously if you do a full exhaust system it will be much louder and you’ll push more power, but I’m happy with my 330hp rwd luxury sport sedan. :)

did you have to go to the shop to install the midpipe? planning to do this to my car. I read from another video you had to reweld some part. due to incompatibility with awd. is that true? welding necessary?
@Boosted4477 жыл бұрын
I had a friend with a lift who helped out. No welding necessary for RWD. Literally took out the O2 sensors, pulled out the stock mid-pipes (with secondary catalytic converters), installed the new mid-pipes, and fastened the O2 sensors back in place. The job took about 45 minutes.
@Boosted4476 жыл бұрын
Not sure about awd model. with the rwd its bolt off and then place new midpipes on. you'll basically delete the secondary cats.

Hey I am looking for a used gs350 , how reliable has your car been and how is the performance and all around drive of the car?
@Boosted4477 жыл бұрын
Hello, if you are in the market for a Lexus gs I would recommend this model/awd or the older generation, because of the 2jz and how comfortable the older Lexus models were (es, gs, ls). Performance wise, the power is there when you need it, and the comfort-ability and quietness is there when you need that as well. If I were to compare this to a similar generation es350, I'd have to say the es is way smoother (almost like driving on a cloud), but this is a sports sedan so it does have a slightly rougher ride. I haven't had any issues with the vehicle yet and I just hit 70,000 miles. As long as you get your regular oil changes and don't drive like a maniac everywhere, the car should last quite some time.
