Honestly that vacuum is crap , riptide is the way to go every time I have both and the vac daddy just sits and collects dust in shed

once again you have over complicating pools 40 kg isn't 170 pounds its about 90 pounds if your chlorine is to high take the probe out of your acid feeder put in a bucket of clean water until it drops let the sun do its work in evaporation you cant trust the orp its up to the pool owner to understand basic pool management if ph is to high add acid accordingly also adjust alkalinity first its not rocket science i've been a pool owner for 15 years and never herd so much nonsense

Why did my pool chlorine test come back real orange in color
@AquaticFacilityTraining3 ай бұрын
@@LisaMantsch because you are likely using a chemical called OTO to test chlorine which at high chlorine levels does not bleach, but turns darker colors as the level of chlorine present in the solution increases - from yellows, to shades of orange, then shades of brown(ish).

This was a informative video. I've done residential pool maintenance for about 3-4 years and feel like there's more out there. Would taking this test help me work on my own?

Vac Daddy has a lot of suction, in fact if you bottom out at all it rips the hose they send with it wide open. They replaced it 3 times i finally gave up trying to use it. It's extremely cumbersome getting it back to the pool area. It needs a cart that will accommodate a battery. The power supply it comes with would be a great backup for when your battery runs down but power receptacles are surprisingly in short supply around pools. I really would like to use it more, maybe a year later some of this has been fixed.

That connection hose is weak. I’ve torn through the one they sent as well.

Very cool example of how aeration raises ph. Also shows well how the boric acid works in regards to the aeration affect (loss of CO2) on ph. Do the same test with other components that can raise ph. Like sun screens, tanning oils, algea even.

This is the only demo of this I have seen and the best explanation of how much buffering borates actually provide. I think you have convinced me to finally add the boric acid to my salt pool.

Ive learned to never let the customer make me his bitch. I make the customer my bitch, no exceptions. Otherwise they will walk all over you and treat you like they treat the landscaper, and the waiter, and the mechanic, handyman etc. Some are great, most (here in Ca) could care less about the pool guy. I learned after a couple years that using a credit card system for payment is the best. The card gets charged automatically BEFORE I do any work, no exceptions. The accnts always get setup on autopay, no exception. If I feel the customer is unreasonable, I dont hesitate to drop them, my phone rings constantly for service. If they write a bad review, I always respond back by saying " thankyu for the review, glad you were able to finally understand the problem, and we are back to doing business as usual" even though its bullshit, it makes them mad when they read it, and makes the review reader think you are reasonable. Once you make the customer respect you, they wont hound you.

Been cleaning residential and commercial pools for 10 years with just a county certificate. Finally signed up for a class to get a CPO. I've learned all the backwards tricks (using sodium bromide to lower high ch for example) but it's about time to learn how to do this stuff properly!
