Wyatt.. Im sorry you're going through this man. I can feel the pain you're going through. I just went through a divorce.. with her for 11 years. Married for 5. You're right..we spend this time making every decision together. When it ends, there is this weird void. You lose a big part of your identity, and it takes time to get that back. But I'm living proof that you will bro. Yiu mentioned how much it sucks to just have these toxic feelings left.. those will pass. Eventually, you will remember the happiness of the past 8 years and how it made you into who you are today. Dont rush anything. There is no timeline on this. I seperated in march of 2023 and am now finally feeling at peace with alot of things. Our lives are strangely similar. I grew up in ottawa. Played drums in bands. Was signed to some small redord deals. Played a ton of shows in and around toronto. The horseshoe, the reverb, lees palace, the opera house was a huge milestone for me. I’ve been following you for a while. From your drumming videos to your reactions. One of the OG reactors that got me into it. Long story short I’ve been there bro. Just like most of your following. It’s rough and takes time. Back in 2020 I was with someone for years and she went out in the middle of the night, cheated and got back in bed with me. That was extremely painful for me and caused an avalanche of emotions. I went down a dark path of alcoholism, depression and anxiety. I had so much hatred built up that I even wrote and published a book of short stories about what I was going through. I’m not proud of those moments but it was the release I needed. It’s crazy what writing can do bro. But I promise things will get better. We’re all here if you need to talk. Just remember: what goes on in the dark comes out in the light.
