Average B3313 fan: "oMg iT's sO LiMiNaL i'M qUaKiNg iN mY bOoTs!" vs. Average Mario enjoyer: "Haha, the arrow is going boingy boingy!"

It still looks like a gamecube game, with that specific hi-lo poly roundness and the sheen on everything

Creepy. Feels like this was used to make Wario World.

13 years ago? Holy crap I’m surprised I’ve never seen this. I’m even more surprised that this actually doesn’t seem to be a creepypasta “found footage”video. Says more about the current culture than anything else lol.

Not sure how I’d never heard of this before. Feels like the kind of thing I’d think was real in a dream. Love this stuff!

seeing people somehow not know about this demo until it got recommended to them makes me wonder whether or not i should be prideful that i know so much about mario history or have an existential crisis about how much time i've spent learning about obscure mario trivia

why didnt u focus on the lightings flicking on the rocks in the cave :/

i was hoping since first party nintendo has mastered stylized games with substance and physics for so long that the switch 2 might return to competing with new gen hardware... if the zelda devs could let loose with actual hardware it would be so insane ... alas they'll have to continue to be masters of developing on an extreme budget for 10 or whatever more years...

It's so weird how it's peak liminal space yet the arrow is oozing with personality that has that distinctive Nintendo charm. It's like reading a creepypasta that ends happily ever after.

You can almost hear the presenter rushing to get through his paragraph about bump mapping and lighting as the arrow descends the spiral staircase.

Too bad crazy taxi sued Nintendo for this, putting Nintendo in such dire straits they were forced to be extremely litigious and sue as many people as they could to make ends meet

I can't fully find the proper words to describe why Peaches castle having a hanger underneath the castle that aesthetically looks very out of place from what's above feels a little unnerving. Almost like the castle itself is completely fake, like it's really a movie set or part of a theme park attraction.
