Hi, bit of a random question looks like you the same outboard that I got with my boat, but I'm struggling to find any information on it. Do you by chance know the model number so I can find maintenance and parts manuals thankyou. Enjoyed your video thankyou.
@yotubeyaroslavzamatin4.07 ай бұрын
I advise you to buy a high-pressure foot pump "Bravo 9" with which you can easily pump up your boat. No hassle with the hand pump. The only thing here is that you will also need a pressure gauge. But, these are small things. Thanks for the video. Oh yes, I also want to ask you: Is it possible to deliver and purchase these boats in Russia? Or is it just you?

Can you advise if a 4HP will be suitable for use at sea with this boat please ??
@theinflatableboatownersnet56843 жыл бұрын
I use a 5hp and a 9.9hp outboard with this 4m boat. So a 4hp would work with a smaller boat.
@grzegorzbiela57573 жыл бұрын
4hp on sea will be so underpowered not woth to take, 3.9m boat on see needs minimum 9.9 hp
@GunitCPT3 ай бұрын
4hp will move the boat around at sea with zero problems at displacement speeds. Google “2hp Honda auxiliary sailing yacht” and watch a 2hp engine move a boat that weights 11 tonnes at displacement speeds in good conditions

Love my inflatable boat. 10.8’ long with hard transom and aluminum hard floor panels and bench seats. Bought seat cushion/storage compartments, a Bimini top, and power it with a 55-lb electric trolling motor and deep cycle marine battery. A total blast!
@oliverskinner89623 жыл бұрын
This is longer than the Honwave t38 ie air v and has a wider beam it must flex a lot in the sea even more so than the Honwave. This excel is heavy for an air deck has very big tube diameter and lots of drag being such a wide beam why isn't it rated to 30hp ? Nobody ever shows the inflatable keel ! one would assume on a boat this size it would be nice and deep to handle some rough seas. Oh and if you could answer just this one, how long did it take to set up from start to finish ? Thanks.
@theinflatableboatownersnet56843 жыл бұрын
I have myself owned the Honwave and now have the Excel. You are correct it is a more stable boat due to the extra width and tube diameter. As I used the same engine on both I can say I don't feel any extra drag. I think the rating of 20hp is right for the boat. A higher rating would mean a thicker transom and extra weight. Set up time is about 15 minutes a steady pace but very dependent on the pump used.
@theinflatableboatownersnet56843 жыл бұрын
I plan to make another video from a different angle next month. Thank you for your comment.
@oliverskinner89623 жыл бұрын
@@theinflatableboatownersnet5684 that sounds great and stability is definitely something we want however the excel Volante 360 is also rated to 20hp do you know if the 360 would be more rigid and I know it will be less stable but does tube diameter make any difference apart from keeping you dry and carry more weight ? Do larger tubes create more or less drag ?
@theinflatableboatownersnet56843 жыл бұрын
@@oliverskinner8962 both the Volante 360 and Volante 390 are rated to 20hp. They are air deck models so I would assume this is what is limiting the hp. Tube diameter does mean more water surface area at no-planing speed. But at planing speed this would be a very small water surface different. A more noticeable difference would be at rest (not under power) for sports like fishing this is when the extra width and tube diameter help the most with stability.

If you live near the sea, buy a boat , great idea. If you live inland , and think you might be able to use it on canals , lakes, reservoirs, rivers , think again. We have a fantastic network of canals , buy you can not take a sib ( soft inflatable boat ) through a lock , or through a tunnel. There are also very few public slipways to launch from. You could use a marina, where you can charged £20 just to walk your boat( on wheels ) down the marina slipway , about 20 seconds worth. Reservoirs do not allow powered boats ( no engines ) in them. Rivers are a little better , but the slipway problem appears again. So , live by the sea , if you want to use a sib. Have a great staycation :)
