no one can do it all, that was a feminist dupe put upon us to take on more than we should and do it w a smile - nope, no longer for me! I am in my "soft core" era instead bc I already ran through a long hard core era! haha

I find that I am more prone to get mascara on me w the minis, so that is why I have stopped buying minis even though I like the price of minis better lol (I do want the big palette from Pat McGrath but seems most people are not into it according to the comments in the Pat group) & I think Tarte usually does a slightly bigger palette in spring but the really big ones are in late summer lately so I think the smaller ones are Holidays

I saw those tarte palettes last night online at ulta and I was like ooooh also thought "hourglass" right away, but I didn't get the HG palette(s) I decided I will not buy them this year so I am thinking I may try the tarte one, but honestly I don't know if I would buy both even though I love face palettes espeicially blush ones and I love love love blush so much, still, I don't think having all of them plus the individuals from tarte, it may be just too repetitive and compete with each other for use

I felt the same way about the tarte holiday collection, personally I am gonna wait until it is on sale half off or more like the one I recently got from last holiday lol

I agree with that, I prefer Pat McGrath & Natasha Denona Eyeshadows with Natural Brushes only, they just are too rich of a formula to work as well with the synthetics. Blending is always easier with the natural bristles for those formulas imho

don't beat yourself up, you are right, you shouldn't have to do all that stuff but the reality of motherhood to older kids is that you still do have to do it, not a lot of people admit that but I see it first hand with myself and my kids as well as my friends and their grown kids, so just kw you are doing your best and try not to stress (I know it's easier said than done though lol)

jewel tones for fall (to me) comes from Halloween costumes and some of the beautiful colors of autumn when you go up to new england when the leaves change - I love this palette and need to use it more:) tfs
