I know you've had the T2 for a long time. Where do you think the T2 has any advantages? Only Nokta I'm down to right now is the older Red Racer,,I think it's great for residential lots,,,seems to handle EMI very well even at high gain.

Being honest here, after 1000’s of hours on the T2 I’d be hard pressed to find any real noticeable advantages. The triple score outperforms on nearly every front. That being said, I just purchased an F75+ and it confirms this. The newer tech is just better for my hunting. I never used the red racer but it was based on the f75 tech just like the kruzer and anfibio and even the impact.

I've had the same instability issue in M2 on certain sites. But on other sites, M2 is completely stable. That can't be just the machine if it's very stable at other sites. But it is frustrating on sites where you want to use M2.

When you pinpoint, you need to move completely off the target, then press and hold pinpoint before you move back over the target. Don't initiate pinpointing directly over the target.

Tested my Triple score out yesterday for first time. Some memorial pennies in yard been hitting couple years but what impressed me was a beaver tail at 10 inches clear signal.

The more I think about it, this makes no sense? Was there a bad batch of motherboards or something? I've seen plenty of videos where people have zero issues. Mine does the exact same thing.

No I don’t think so. My small coil doesn’t do it. It’s just certain soil conditions I think.

It is too much to do to these new machines I have a new triple score and I have no way to do the update because I do not have a laptop. Yes I am old school. The reason I Purchased a machine lots of good views, but now I find out you have to update it and that sucks There is too much stuff you have to do to this machine just to get it to work. I like something simple.

I hear ya, but why did you buy a state of the art, mid-level machine when you wanted something simple? It’s like expecting a Formula One car to be as easy to drive as a Honda Civic; an F-18 to be as easy to fly as a Cessna 175. You have to learn how to drive it, fly it. to get the real performance out of it. Spend a little time, learn its language. You won’t regret it. I’m also old school, and new to the hobby. I think the Triple Score is complex, but not too hard to learn. Quarter Hoarder has a great, in depth description of all the buttons and features, as does Calabash. I would say this: take a couple hours, watch the “how to use” videos with your user manual in front of you, take your Triple Score out in your yard, and play with it for another hour or two. Go through the menus over and over. Build up muscle memory. The UI is not that hard to figure out - honestly. Once you do that, and get comfortable with how to set it up the way you want it, the Triple Score will FAR outperform any simple and entry level detector. You want your time in the field to be as productive as possible, right? Invest a little time, learn to use the Triple Score, and happy hunting!

Hello there. This is Dilek from Nokta. You need to switch to M1 or M3 in those conditions. Or if you insist on the M2, try to use the ground suppressor to see if it helps. The frequencies are different in each multi so it's expected to have different responses. That's why we offer different Multi frequencies for different conditions.

@@dilekgonulay2259 I fired mine up today, I live in the northeast US in upstate NY very mild soil. Mine was falsing like crazy even with the ground suppression at level 8, noise cancelling ran, and ground balanced twice. My simplex + has zero issues so I know it's not my soil. I thought the different multifrequency modes were for targeting different types of targets not different soils? It only seemed to want to be semi quiet on M3, M1&2 are basically useless..

I sold the legend when a friend with 700 EQ found 20 coins and I was 1, it was the final, the depth dropped on wet soil, the installations were inserted incorrectly, it was just a pain with this device.

Can cofirm mine is the same in park mode. you didnt show field mode tho. Mine is worst in field mode, you are right tho it's not the ground or EMI. Can hold the coil in the air and any movement will make it go crazy.

I got my first metal detector around the same time as you 2011ish, but it was a cheap toy one from a department store, wasn't a name brand, whatever the name brands were in 2011 I'm not even sure, but I only got out with it maybe 5-10 times back then and I eventually forgot about, so I don't really count my time back then In 2023 I was coin roll hunting for about a year (which I also started around 2012 without even know you could get coin from the bank I just went through all my friends change) and I seen people on reddit finding silvers with a metal detector so I asked someone what's a good starter detector and he said simplex plus or vanquish, I ended up going with a simplex plus In like 3 months, I got bored of the simplex and I got a legend, simplex in April 2023, then legend in July or August At the same time I got my legend I bought my mom a vanquish 540, which I've used a couple times it's also a nice machine but I wish I got her a Xterra pro instead, just for the waterproofing In December 2023 I bought a deus 1, I don't know if I like my deus 1 or legend better, I use them in different ways, I like the deus better if I'm just going for shallow targets or tot lots, I like the legend better if I'm going for deeper targets or beaches When XP comes out with the new deus 2 coil I may start saving up for a deus 2 I've only been detecting for 17 months but I feel like ive been doing it forever, almost everyone on KZbin I feel like is a more skilled detectorist then me, but I've had a couple people ask me questions like I was actually good lol When I got my deus in December I gave my simplex plus away to my mom's friends kid, my mom actually bought him a detector maybe 10 months before I gave him the simplex but it was one of those national geographic toys, and it broke on him, I DARE him to try and break the simplex, not going to happen

Ask and ye shall receive ! Thanks for the video. Clear , precise and to the point. The way I set mine up is pretty close to the way you run it. I have noticed the 33 on some pulltabs or small aluminum in iron . Try field mode all metal with iron audio up pretty high and pitch tone . Nonferrous targets seem to jump out really well . First time with the TS at a site I’ve been over for 10 years now with 6 different detectors gridding it out including the NOX 800 , I found a 1900 IH cent and two small engraved brass buckles. Thx again for this video and advice on the settings. I’ve never owned a Nokta machine until now

I am just now getting back into it. Haven’t been in it. 25 years bought me a triple score one of the things I’m trying to figure out how to find his old Homestead and Alabama. I have excess of a lot of land and a Disappointment, word triple score they got new update after I bought mine this year and I do not have a laptop to update it so I got to figure that out but I like to know how to find old maps to go out and look at old Homestead

Good luck finding the homesite. Just gotta get out there and check the high ground and look near a water source. If it’s in a field look for glass, brick, and pottery shards. If it’s in the woods it will be much more challenging. Then you just gotta listen for the nail iron. Yes you need access to a pc or laptop to update the triple score. However, if you’re not hunting the beach then the update is not super crucial. Park and field modes didn’t receive much in the update other than some changes to the iron filter scaling. So I wouldn’t worry too much my friend. Thanks for watching.

Man , I was so glad I watched this video. Your journey almost mimics mine . Been detecting since 2009 . Went from Tesoro to Fisher , to Minelab . Had the Triple Score a few weeks now. It has already impressed me. I wish you would make an in depth video on the settings for the Triple Score, to give me a better understanding of how to set them. I hunt primarily civil war relics and old homesites . Thx again for your content

What do you recommend? I just bought me a triple score about a month ago and I got to put the update and I do not have a laptop. I just have a phone, so what do you recommend to do the update?

You will need to have access to a pc or mac computer of some kind. You need the Nokta update tool installed and it will walk you through step by step. There is not another way that I’m aware of. As long as your not beach hunting salt water, the original version is still great. The pin point function is a bit weak but that’s not a deal breaker for most. There is a beta 1 and beta 3 now available. I’ve tested beta 1 a lot and a buddy has been doing beta 3. I put beta 3 in mine last night and will be testing it this weekend. Again, main changes being in beach mode. They added “DT” function in B1 and B3 as well for supposed better unmasking of deep targets in iron….to be determined, I’ve not tried DT yet. M3 is a weaker multi, designed for very wet ground where signals are amplified

M2 is designed to pick up lower end targets, so it will pick up more iron bits in M2 I bet, M1 is your best bet, try park mode

The Triple Score has several different issues. You’ve pointed out 2 or 3 of them. Pinpointing in different mutlti frequencies is spoty at best. In single frequency it seems to work much better. Relic mode is a real head scratcher??? Not sure what its purpose is... In beach mode at salt water beaches it is IDing pennies, dimes, nickels (I think) and quarters as IRON. Nokta knows about the beach mode issues and has sent out a beta update to Calabash digger but i think only to him. Nokta has got a lot of work to do to all these fixes but I think they'll get it done. I'm just not sure why they would send them out with all these issues. Calabash digger has videos out on KZbin about it. I'm right there with you cuz I just bought one too... We'll see what happens... Good luck! 👍

I’ve been in contact with Calabash. My buddy found the beach issue as well. Pinpoint and beach have been improved in the beta. Beta is available at Nokta web site using the score update tool.

Soil is inert. I haven’t ground balanced a machine since the t2/g2. DEUS/D2/nox/ triple score either will not ground balance or will lose performance when ground balanced. It’s not just me. It’s a known thing with soil like this. Basically what a machine air tests is how deep it will go in this dirt.

@@billburns829 I’ll need a little more time in the field to compare. I haven’t had either machine very long. But they are very close I can tell you that. I’ve gotten word that the triple is neck and neck with even the manticore for depth in mild soil also!

@@billburns829 I also ran the D1 for several years and the triple outdoes it in most ways and since the d2 has mono program the d1 is pretty much obsolete with the exception of the hf coils. But xp is about to release an hf for d2

Very nice. Once the updates take care of a few things on the triple score its gonna be hard to put down. Its already looking great on the beach thanks to Calabash.
