Notice that Nantucket homes all have cheezy looking furniture. No furniture shops on the island.

Looking at the current satellite photos, the new owners did a total makeover. The tennis court is gone, and it looks like they’ve doubled the size of the main house. I hope they put in at least one real wood burning fireplace this time!

i worked on this house or the one right next to it (they all look the same out there) in early 2003.. we couldnt keep the atlantic ocean out of the basement. Very high water table.

Nantucket is where the richest of hypocrites summer like the current fraud in the White House. The conservation land was not reserved for plain folk but for the "climate activists" who fly their private jets into the airport in the good weather. The island is clogged with day-trippers in the summer months. You won't find Benedict Arnold Pinocchio spending his second wife's first husband grandfathers money there any more. They moved over to Martha's Vineyard which is a prettier island. National Geographic is now a leftist climate change propaganda rag unreliable for its judgements about anything. Say home.

The house seemed rather plain lacking style and amenities. The master lacked a fireplace and the entire house lacked superb lighting fixtures. The interior architecture was low scale lacking charming accents. This house, while large, seemed constructed in the manner of a simpler vacation home and not a fulltime dwelling. The exterior of the house appeared very nicely done with "curb appeal" plus the pool and additional guest house offers the notion of a promising interior...but the interior fails in so many ways...the lack of custom built-in cabinetry and shelves and recessed shelving. The entry stairway was very typical as found in houses sold in housing developments such as subdivisions. The location for this house is exceptional and a buyer for this area would be expecting much more than this house offers. This is my opinion. I'm a homeowner and not any breed of housing expert...but I recognize quality and a lack of quality.

I've been to Maui and to Nantucket. To me, its not even close...Nantucket. Of course, it must be acknowledged that it is a matter of personal preference.

That’s kinda the point. For those of us who love all four seasons, this place is nirvana. You should watch the videos of downtown Nantucket during a snow storm! Classic New England! Again, personal tastes may vary.

I can imagine living at 91 for certain because not only it's a well planned beautiful home, its views through each window is well thought of and the property is placed on the right environment surrounded by natural beauty and most importantly the feeling of tranquility. Just perfect!

To the Dickens with your Technicalities ... It's an Exquisite Property with Incredible Sea Views ... I did not see the road you spoke of ... I was immediately transported into the magic that is Nantucket Island ... The Expensive home was on 4 acres without a neighbor in sight ... I couldn't imagine anything better
