This is an old video by now but I really like the way Matt explains his connection to Jesus. Its really a way I can connect to and I think a lot of the people in the comments are reacting to this deeper then it really is. Obviously we all have a different perception on faith itself, Matt's may be different then yours, that doesn't mean you should immediately diminish and attack him because of his perception. Christianity is built on the idea of welcoming everyone no matter their background, sex, race or upbringing. No matter who you are, you can create a relationship with Jesus, and no matter what your perception of Jesus is, we need to understand, accept and embrace others beliefs of not only our own faith, but of other faiths and beliefs too.

If religion helped the homeless then they wouldn’t have so much money to invest in property and land and investments operations to understand the value of prostitution of the word of Jesus Christ and using his name to create wealthy individuals and institutions in the name of faith is what Jesus exposed when he accused the Pharisees of turning his Father’s house into a den of thieves and vipers and a marketplace for this is behind all belief systems upon the earth that exploit their own power to control and manipulate the minds of people using tithes to create billionaires and millionaires to the growth and of prosperity temple’s and modern day evangelical movement that is a modern equivalent to the old religious systems. Amen 🙏 Amen 🙏 Amen 🙏 Jesus is example Amen of him to demonstrate the simplicity of worship and not the theatre and theatrical drama of all religions and false doctrine and teachings

The homeless are reviled for the litter and trash they surround themselves with. And churches and other do-gooders give out tons of one use goods and containers. Homeless have no problem bringing full containers to their camps, but some how are unable to carry the same empty containers out to a trash can. Talk to homeless people? I was homeless. I remember good Christians trying to help. And I remember the whole camp roaring drunk around a fire all night, after the Christians left.

Do the churches help? Some do. Many don't. Many don't want to. They don't want the poor to come to church. Jesus would not only invite the poor to church, he would invite them down to the front pew in honor!

We are a Christian a sudanese refugee staying in Uganda with three children and a wife. I have been in Uganda since 1989 at the age of 5 years, am now 40 years, all my life I have grown up in refugee camps in uganda. My wife Agnes 35 years, my son Raymond 11 years, Rodney 10 years and Ryna 4 years. I have not been lucky to get resettled to third country, after trying resettlement and failed I decided to accept and settle here in Uganda and start life, am glad I have integrated in Ugandan population, Uganda is my country now, I call it home because it is all I know now, so I have settled permanently here. I chose becoming an urban refugee wanting to stand on my own two feet, to support my family, educate my children, and also build a small permanent 2 bedroom house we would call our home not always to keep moving since I cannot afford paying house rent. Being a disadvantaged refugee family we remain with no better opportunities in life of getting out own house, I am a general labourer and I am paid from hand to mouth daily wage, for that I cannot get a house for my family yet I now have grown up children. I don't have a better paying job, nor do I have a standing business we are doing. Getting a 2 bedrooms house is going to help us to thrive, not only survive as it has been but to have a living. Owning a house of our own a place we can call home will mean a safe place to sleep, a place where we shall feel like we belong. A place to build memories since we shall truly be ourselves, my children will have friends since we shall be in one place. Owning a house of our own will mean a better chance to obtain necessities like food, clothing, medicine, and sanitation since we will not be spending and worried of house rent, getting this house will give us an opportunity to build a decent life for ourselves. I believe ending my family suffering, continuous house evictions due to failure to paying rent will start with having access to a safe and decent place to live. All my life I have been trapped in rent arrears, trapped in poor quality housing facilities, trapped in continuous house evictions, trapped in trauma and stress associated with failure to paying house rent. Helping us own a house of our own, is a golden life time opportunity of making us self reliant, giving to us opportunity to build a decent life for ourselves. Helping our family alone might not change the whole world nor make any difference to the world, but it will change the world for my family. We seek help from any Christian or Godly person to reach out to us. We always luck everything in life, but helping us with a home is a solution to all. Thank you in advance and stay blessed KIRABO ROBERT Whatsapp. +256704092828 Email. [email protected]

The church doesn't care. Don't give your money to the church, give it to local charities that help the poor. Churches come up with excuses why they won't help. I don't trust the church nor the people in it.

I remember my husband and I were homeless, sleeping on the streets, and we slept in front of a church on a walkway that ran around the front of the church against the wall. I woke up and had to pee really bad, so I went in the bushes (it was early in the morning and still dark, I didn't think anyone would be up in the townhomes across the street. But somebody was, obviously saw me and called, because not too long after, a couple of cops stopped by and talked with us. They were very nice, didn't fine or arrest us or anything, but they said somebody called and complained about someone "exposing themselves". Soon after, we noticed that the lights on that front walkway were on constantly - and bright! Another church allowed us to stay in a trailer in their parking lot. One day, we went to a friend's house to do laundry and watch anime. He drove us back to the trailer and we dropped off our stuff and then went to McDonald's for a bite. When we walked back to the church, we saw that the trailer that had our stuff in it, including our fresh laundry, was GONE! Someone had swiped the whole trailer. All of our stuff was gone! Yeah, fortunately, they had a second trailer that they did let us stay in, but they didn't help us get new clothes, or invite us in to a service on Sunday. Eventually, the people who ran that little ministry packed it up and moved away. Fortunately, we were able to go to a motel. And to be fair, church people have helped us, which is good, but like you said, too many have forgotten about our duty to care for the poor. It's sad, but true!
