@@RosendaleSingsYW! Now that I’m not so sleep deprived and can actually process my emotions, I’d like to explain myself a bit more. In this day and age, there’s so much large stuff- wars and narcissists, and all the such. I’ve found it harder and harder to retain my ego, my sense of self. “Other people are going through worse” is perhaps the best example of how toxic it can be- not only does it get you down, but it also trivializes your own problems, making you less motivated to do what you can. A sense of perspective is important- me having a spat with my family is no where near the level of a family starving in Gaza, say- but there’s nothing I, myself, can do about the starving family with my own two hands, but that’s not the case for a spat, or a final exam, or for session prep. And I’ve found, through these efforts, I’ve started to notice the small things that I do appreciate- the mental reference that I shared with no one is pretty inconsequential on a large scale, but it made me happy- and given how few bones we’ll be given in the future, we need to start searching ourself. And now the point- your music really helps me embrace this mindset- whereas other songs get me pumped, sad, or angry, these songs of yours help me find a neutral, slightly optimistic state. Dunno if this makes sense, or if you’ll read it, but again, thank you.
