great music video very confusing and all :D. Are the durms on your tracks played or are they sampled from some kontakt library or something? They soud always super puncy and organic :)
@ChrisJossOfficial11 күн бұрын
Thanks! Always real drums
@tunnis7us11 күн бұрын
@@ChrisJossOfficial I figured that since I haven't heard so organic drum samples yet :)
@ChrisJossOfficial11 күн бұрын
To be precise since my third LP all drums are live drums except Voids and Bubbles on the LP Misophonia which is played on a Roland midi drum kit triggering some samples. LP 1 had real drums on the 4 first tracks, LP 2 on I'm so electric and Bakara, and the end of Dr Rhythm. The Sequel had real drums that I looped, the Fuse only snare and HH.

@@ChrisJossOfficialam I right in thinking for the song Tune Down there’s a Serge Gainsbourg Histoire de Melody Nelson influence? That beautiful bass work especially.
@ChrisJossOfficialАй бұрын
The principle of bending the string before playing the note is common on sitar which I'd just bought (tried some on that track), and I also did it on guitar like many people do, but I think that while doing it on the bass on that track (that was 18 years ago} I thought of Dave Richmond who did it on melody nelson, but it was more a case of oh yeah that's what he did rather than being influenced. The track tune down is influenced by loran's dance which at the time I knew through Fatboy slim 's sample of it. It's just a blues jam on top which I did in one- takes, leaving the mistakes on guitar which gave a nice effect when doubling.
@kjay879629 күн бұрын
@@ChrisJossOfficialWell explained! Also leaving any small mistakes in has always been something I’ve liked doing. Perhaps only because I’ve never recorded a take without them.

Haha thanks ! It might be the two guitars responding to each other, I spent some time making them work even if you only listen to one channel so the track sounds different depending if it's left or right, or if one channel is louder than the other when in stereo.
