"film making" is becoming professional consumer, that does video on the side to pay for all this shit. Cine foil is what I use for the issue guys! Cinematography is all about problem solving! I solved this once. If you don't like having to pay so much for cine foil....BLACK MATTE SPRAYPAINT on ALUMINUM FOIL! What about the grid???? Gaff tape a damn grid....Jesus! Hope this helps! Don't buy this. Even the most lavish Hollywood productions use cardhilini clamps, tape, duvetine, and other DIY solutions It's part of the game to figure these things out. Take it one step further, make solutions enough to sell them and put logos over and now you created a company like this one! American wants you to be a mindless consumer with critical thinking skills. Everything about filmmaking is bringing dreams into reality. stop creating the habit of buying solutions and become the solution! Happy shooting!

Fantastic. I have a very similar setup and haven’t been 100% happy with the results but it’s good to know it’s about how i use them. It’s easy to assume you need more or different gear.

with the light in the large modifier what is the output? What ISO/Shutter/aperture are you at to produce enough exposure? I'm trying to gauge how powerful the lights are

Thanks for asking! Jonny Creative gave us the following info on his camera settings for this shoot "My ISO stayed at 400 throughout. Aperture varied between 1.2 and 5.6 and I kept my shutter speed at 1/60 or above relative to those settings." Hope this helps!

Hey Jeremy, nice shoot. You might know my work. I was the official photographer for Guns N Roses and Motörhead for years and years. I too use Nanlite for my photography. But not the 300's I use 500's and 720b's. So my question is, what settings are you on when shooting with a 300? Are you shooting high iso? I usually like to be around shutter 200-250th and f4-5.6 and can't get enough light out of a 300 unless I cranked iso way up. Once again, great looking shoot.

@@RobertJohnPhotography For me, the 500s and 700s are just too heavy/too much to bring around while traveling. I am rarely ever using the 300 at 100% due to balancing with say... tubes in the back/sides. So tubes at 100% are akin to the 300 anywhere between 15-40% depending on the set up. I am not shooting iso 100, im more around 400-800 (never above 800) 5.6-8 at a 100th or above, I do have IS both in lens and in body with the Leica which helps shooting a little slower with no movement/blur. but in terms of cobs, I just dont need the 500-720 power in most situations because the subject cant handle lights that bright to begin with, and due to balancing with other lighting, im never even hitting the 300 at 100% in most situations anyway. though I have used the bigger lights in some lighting situations for sure, its few and far between.

@@jeremysaffer Thanks for the reply. I'm using the older 300b's and also run grids often which cuts 1 1/2 stop of light. I hear the 300BII are about 20-30 percent brighter. I never run the 500's or 720B at full power. As far as travel. I come from old days of traveling with heavy strobe packs and heads along with no rolling bags back then😂 I also have dual IS I shoot Panasonic S1H so in camera and one of my lens. Like you I'm at 400-800 but never below 200th when shooting people. So if people are moving you get no motion blur at 100th of a second?

That is NOT a parabolic softbox - if it were the light would be shining back into the base of the softbox and from there be reflected out, among other things.

lol at 1:56 where it starts to move right away after he fully tightened it so they cut it to a quick broll shot. I’ve been doing my research and these have been said to be alittle hard to deal with when trying out certain angles that put to my load of the ball head

Thanks for your very intensive review :-) I´m planning a set with many tubes. so my question is if the APP has been approved to have a correct sync in pixel mode. You show some effects with running pixel zones. but if your stack two ore more tubes together in parallel mode the timing was out of sync. This was so one year before (beginning of 2023 - today is 24-02-06). Would be great if you can help. THX a lot 🙂 How is Your experience?

Just picked up 3 Forza 60Cs + the Projector. Super excited. Does anyone have an idea of how i can mount my Projector to a ProFoto light? I am not sure if there is an adapter configuration I can use. I do have a Profoto to Bowens and Bowens to Profoto adapter but not sure how I can use my Projector w my B10s. Thx!
