At least you went to fish so thats good. I usually fish my Fenwick HMG 7ft mhfs and quantum 30 with 30# braid..Any special lures..I got buzz bombs and corky they call them.be there from 2 jand to 7 jan in Damascus. Gott give me time and place to meet..

Thanks for watching. 10# per day. that’s a lot of squid. use em for crab bait or gonna use em for fish. Besides it’s fun and get to meet a lot of people. They catching salmon off the Edmonds pier not many but had a 18#. Black mouth the call it. They jigging off the bottom! Heard got steelhead at Bush Point?

I get time to do a lot of different things, geoducks, dungeness and red rock crabs, horseclams, trout kayakers ng salmon, silver salmon, trout, clamming, seaweed and now squidding. Thks for watching and your inquiry. No, currently using Quantum 30, FFP Florida Fishing products 4000 smoother than stradic 3000 FI so those are the 3 reels. I also use 2014 2021 spheros for crabbing snares, Ozark trail 6000 and okuma 55p. snares..Surprised the Okuma small little reel but can crank snares 3 to 4oz weight plus crab..

Thks for watching. they say you can catch em from the dock at night, since there is herring must be salmon around? Gotta try for salmon with a jig. I will try that the next time. don’t know if it’s legal to catch salmon this time of the year..

Mahalo, Sorry to hear about your wrist/hand. For the meantime wear a wrist compressor. Btw, what's the weight of your fly rod? Are you using a lighter rod? Are you using your wrist to squid? Generally fly rods are not for squidding but saw a few using it. Trout rods would be fine. I see guys at the dock use shorter rods up to salmon rods and their catching squids. Onetime, I was beside an older guy with no rod squidding. I call it hand fishing/squidding. Old school but effective for him. Anyways, I'm using a fly rod and the weight is 7wt and for me it's just right for me. You saw it at Edmonds. It's basically personal preference. Give your wrist/hand a rest to heal. thks for watching and your comments, its a 5wt but should have held the rod above the reel instead of on the reel, rod too long hard on the wrist, went back to my 7ft rod.. I used to fish from a dock with no rod and just line weight hook and bait and caught them. The squid seems to be outside of the pier though. Thanks for sharing..

@ you could go endmonds and on the way back hit les Davis.. I did that and caught them at les Davis. For me Edmonds is almost 2 hrs but Les Davis is 30 minutes .. just try to time it being there coming up tide or going low.. good luck
