@@Lion-ci8bm Hughes isn't signing for less than Myers and probably won't be much under 8m unless the term is short bc of the Heiskanen and Makar contracts

@@na_music Hughes Hughes WILL indeed sign for less than Myers. Hughes at this point is his career is not worth 6+ mill yet. Also Myers is way overpaid.

Drouin - Suzuki - Domi Tatar - Danault - Gallagher Holtz* - Kotkaniemi - Armia Lekonen - Poehling - Byron Chiarot - Weber Romanov - Petry Kulak - Fleury Price - Primeau If they don't make the playoffs... Trade them all for picks and rebuild like the Sens are doing. Keep: Suzuki, Danault, Tatar, Gallagher, Armia, Poehling, Byron, Weber, Romanov, Fleury, Chiarot, Kulak Trade: At the deadline teams will pay up (1st round picks for sure on guys like: Drouin, Domi, KK, Petry) That's at least 5 first round picks, or 2 prospects per played. Drouin can get you a first and prospect. Domi can get you a first and a prospect KK can get you two years of 1st round picks... Petry can get you a first. Thats 7 players... 7 prospects with probably 2-5 years to develop into top 6fwds or top 4 D pairings. Suzuki Caufield Gallagher +3 Romanov Weber + 2 5/7 have to hit their potential within 2-3 years to have Price and Weber still young enough to be factors... Colorado, NYR, Edmonton, Detroit will have a surplus of prospects. If there is a plan in motion for a rebuild it's now or forget it. Next season if you miss the playoffs start a rebuild before it's too late.

Well one year later we maid scf so no need for a rebuil and also why would you trade kk
@DeluxeSlayer3 жыл бұрын
@@cheesecrackers4059 KK has to go before he loses too much value imo his slow developpement shows signs that he is gonna bust. 3 full seasons and he could'nt even reach the 40 point mark (let me remind you we drafted this guy third overall). Plus he didn't do much in the playoffs compared to the other youngsters. He should be used as trade bait or as a small piece of a bigger trade. Also, even though we made the stanley cup playoffs we lost many pieces of that team and alot of players are starting to get old especially our D core so unless Bergevin makes some moves to fix this yes there is a rebuild coming in a couple years.
@cheesecrackers40593 жыл бұрын
@@DeluxeSlayer He hasn’t had more than a third line role so you can’t be expecting him to have a 60 point year every year I think he should be the second line c next year and we surround him with players with actual talent Byron is a decent player but he’s no Caufield or toffoli like Suzuki has if you play him with guys like Caufield he might be pretty good.I agree that are defence is old but we have decent prospects by the time guys like Petry are retired Guhle and Romanov should be decent
@DeluxeSlayer3 жыл бұрын
@@cheesecrackers4059 I agree that he hasn't had much ice time but still I think we have too much depth at the center and keeping him longer is a gamble because he loses more and more value as we wait. Considering that third overall pick could have been something worth a lot more (either via trade or by drafting someone better) it's kinda sad to see all that value go away for nothing. Let's see how he does this season but if he still has the same scoring pace it's clear he is never gonna reach his potential here in MTL. To me he looks like a worse version of Galchenyuk.
