you can set it up mulllet in short travel mode. Scor says to run it in LT setting to raise BB height slightly. It's still gonna be low but it works where i ride

FWIW the larger sizes, while tight, can squeeze decent droppers in. I have a 210 in my large, but it’s tight. I’m waiting for updated pivot hardware to arrive because mine is also currently broken. I still think the geo has been worth the headaches.

I just bought my 2023 4060 LT. Got 2 rides on it before the snow fell. I'm happy I got it in a large frame. lol. The 2 rides I've had were very fun and I agree about feeling "in the bike", which I definitely prefer. Fingers crossed I don't crack it. I'm not nearly as talented as you and don't go as big by any means so hopefully that keeps the cracks at bay. Regarding the pivots, especially the seat stay pivots, I noticed mine backed out a little after my second ride, even if you give them a good amount of locktite do they still back out? Thanks for the review!
@drew.blanks
@drew.blanks 18 күн бұрын
Yep, the seatstay pivots on mine backed out as well. Threw some blue locktite on and snugged them up. Wasnt a problem again

@billgeorge8415 18 күн бұрын
@@drew.blanks Good to know! It's funny, the manual shows that blue loctite is supposed to be used there, but I wonder if they just didn't do it in the factory?

@ I remember my first frame didn’t have much if any! The second one had aton of loctite. They must have caught on haha

@@drew.blanks even though BMC is a well established brand, the Scor side of the house is a new aspect of riding for them, so I imagine they have some growing pains to get through, but given the overall ride quality, outstanding paint job, and so far very good reviews, I think there's massive potential for them. I can't wait for my first season on this thing.

Hows their warranty like? Any issues getting a replacement frame? And are they questioning you after you broke a second frame? I originally looked at getting one of these - But I cant get over them using press fit BB’s in 2024
@drew.blanks
@drew.blanks 18 күн бұрын
They were quick to warranty the first frame. Starting the process for the second currently. Surprisingly, the pressfit BB hasnt given any issues. Still running the original bb without any noise

I’m on a 4060 as well. Running it in LT steep setting but with the shorter stroke rear shock (140mm travel) and just tried the mullet setup with a 160 mm fork (I use it for general trail use). Feels really good. Definitely an “in the bike” feeling. Bottom bracket is low but not crazy Specialized low. Considering bumping the rear travel up a bit to 147mm or 153 mm but not sure I want to drop the bottom bracket any more.

@@dajtothe3472 most of my pedal strikes at the beginning were because the shock was sitting too low in the travel. I was always curious to try it with a 160 fork

Hey Drew, a lil late but what do you think about using this Cascade Link on the Stumpy 2019 275 with a MegNeg upgrade to the Super Deluxe Ultimate
@drew.blanks
@drew.blanks 3 ай бұрын
The cascade link is one of the best upgrades for the stumpy for more aggressive riding. One thing to consider with both the link and megneg is that youre adding alot of progression. Megneg may not be necessary. If you do run it id start with 0 volume spacers and tune from there.

secret trails that are off the maps made by the community. If you go to pine mountain and once you get all the way to the top, these trails are oof map and start on a hidden side trail. You have to find them at top not hard to spot them.
