Hi, how to find out this or anther weed burner can be connected 9Kg LPG Gas bottle, not 4Kg Bottle? Thanks

Hi Our weed burners can be connected to any POL gas cylinder. Even the new LCC27 type cylinder valves have a POL thread on the inside which you can connect to. Please let me know if I have answered your enquiry satisfactorily.

Hi, I'm looking at buying one but wanted to know what the run time is for a 4kg gas bottle? Cheers

Hi If you look at the number only a 4 Kg Cyl hold approximately 3.8 Kg of Liquid Propane each Kg generates approximately 50 Mj/Hr. So total 191.5 Mj/Hr. The torch at full power uses 165 Mj/Hr so about 1 1/4 hours. In reality you don’t run it flat out, it is a bit like driving a car when you are stopped you are in pilot flame mode and not using much gas. I also find that when I start to see the small weeds coming up that, that is the time to weed and I am often only using 1/2 power via the control knob and can cover a large area quickly. So in reality probably 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I use. A 9 kg and it works out at about 5 hours. I hope this helps there is more info on the webpage

I bought one of these the other day and it works fantastic. A month ago I bought the hot devil weed killer and it was tedious to use. It did about the size of a 50c piece at a time which is fine if you are just doing weeds in between pavers but that is about it. The James Shields one on the other hand is great. No regrets. It does it very efficiently and quickly.

We have been using this weed burner with a lot of success. We checked out a weed burner at the big green hardware store but it doesn’t generate anywhere near the heat of this burner. Also, the 400g single use cylinders are an environmental disaster and very expensive at $14 each. A refillable 9kg gas bottle is a far better solution. We attached ours to a golf buggy for easy transport.
