The best músic, beautiful girls with no tattoos, you could get work, and you could buy a house with a mortgage.. I feel sorry for today's kids... crap music, some prefer aimless life on benefits to working, houses far too expensive thanks to ignorant government policies, girls with too many ugly tattoos. We had it the best.

Let's face it, there was some real sh*t music in the 60s, but when the music was good, it knocked spots of today's bland repetitive output.

Proper singers, song writers, musicians, valve amplifiers, flangers, and the B3 organ.

I think 1956-1980 covers the best stuff. I was born in 65 and the 60s are my favourite.

Much better music in the 60’s and 70’s when music was created for music not performance art, aka Boy George, David Bowie. That’s not to say I didn’t like any of their music, just mentioned their names to make my point

Is "Windows echo your reflection, when I look in their direction they're gone" much better than "This is for my niggas that get high, All of my niggas that get by, all my niggas that get fly"? Undoubtedly

Pictures of matchstick men by the quo has the biggest trippy sound ever. Backwards phasing & all of that drug taking experimenting technical stuff. Many years before my existence, but i wish i could of experienced it. The music is pretty incredible, and thank goodness there was plenty of it. Thank goodness for british history!!!!!!!!!!

The sad thing is that this era has long gone, but for some of us who grew up back then, the memories will never fade away.

The Popular Music of a generation belongs to this generation. Is It "good", "bad"?... it doesn't care - this isn't important. The context cares. For this, as example, a brilliant song from the past [like "Only you (and You Alone - The Platters, 1955] can be considered not so good like "O-Bla-Di, O-Bla-Da", 1968, by the The Beatles public...

11 year old me in 1982 would have killed for this kind of content. It would have been Impossible though. I got lucky to have found this LP in my dad’s record collection by accident.

All in all, hell yeah, music was better in the 60s, well before the soul and verve were processed out of it. How many bands are as eclectic as The Move nowadays?

This program coincidentally and uniquely records the very first ever recording or performance of I LOVE ROCK N ROLL in the world, ever. Alan Merrill's song went around the world and is one of the most recognised songs ever via versions by Joan Jett, Britney and others, It finally reached Xmas #1 in the UK via a parody "I Love Sausage Rolls", a charity single in 2019. Arrows made no money out of the song until Britney Spears cover version in 2002 because of the sharp practices of the 1970s/80s detailed here. Mickie Most used people and then threw them away Nevertheless, this footage of Arrows is a treasure of epic proportions

The way I interpret this is the boy really wants some Fruit Gums and is trying to persuade his mother to buy some at the store for him, albeit in an overbearing manner.

Not really, because each era, pre-sixties, or after, there is always something good going on. Most people who bang on about how everything was better in the 60's forget the reason it really was better and that was we were all younger and carefree because of that.
