For the next shorts that you guys use a human narrator, you should really consider lowering the volume of the music. I can hardly even hear Rich.

Thanks for sharing this story! It’s always good to hear how passionate the folk who started the company were. Unfortunately as time went on, it seems Cartier lost a lot of that passion in the pursuit of profits. Or perhaps they were more interested in advancing their jewelry department, which really worked out. You guys should do a short about Cartier Love bracelets! I’m sure a lot of folk would love to hear about it. Thankfully though, they seem to have realized and are now putting out really intricate watches with superior in-house movements. I’m really excited for the future of Cartier watches. I feel like ever since the market collapsed, most brands realized that they can’t continue to just have their way with clients. They actually have to work to convince the end user that their watches are worth the thousands of dollars we know they’re not worth.

Awesome video. The Midas is one of my all time favorite models. Such an obscure and unappreciated piece!

Great job on the restoration, but it kills me seeing you work that hard on repairing and restoring only to reassemble the watch bare handed

I've needed this feature for my cooking, for AGES. lol Until now, I've just been writing the start time on a white board. For the curious: yes, I know about kitchen timers. I just have always just written down times out of habit...but being able to do it on my watch is cool.

This is a brave solution! Although well executed, it's a shame to lose the mesh bracelet. I would have considered creating some sort of extension at the clasp area although I havn't seen that done before.

I just bought a divers Watch off Temu I didn't know it could do that initially thought it was broken because I thought the bezel somehow moves on it's own like a niche trick but through this video I found out how it works thank you.I am still an intermediate enthusiast of watches

They never made this model with a diamond bezel, let alone a full diamond bracelet. The watch likely started as 100% original but was modified with aftermarket parts

Awesome watch, and a very imformative video! But you failed to mention a very important quirk with these watches. They should never have the dates changed with the push buttons around 10pm-5am. Doing so will severely damage the watch. It’s always good practice to move the hands until you observe the date change and go 5 hours after that before you even consider touching those buttons.

Wow. What a gorgeous piece. These watches are soon going to be a relic of the past. I’ve heard that repairs on these type of watches can become extremely difficult compared to a wrist watch. What an honor it must be to work on these.
