Very Nice video. Actually i have followed all steps but the set up is only about 218 kb and when i open it the error message i get This is a dummy update.exe.If you are seeing this, your build did not correctly replace the IDR_UPDATE_ZIP resource. Command line: '--install.'

CICD on Github can be abit tricky especially when one wrong character fails your build and Github isn't clear on what wrong or exactly why your buld is failing! I would not recommend CICD with Static Web Apps and Github as I have lost countless hours trying to do basic things!

Hi there. I have trouble when deployment can you help me. I have a Virtual Machine and installed MSSQL as well. All ping well. Then I created a new App Service with .net8, then the webapi running but it shown cannot connect to MSSQL.

Excellent video I could deploy mi api and database in minutes, you earned my like and suscribed. To download the publish profile I had to turn on basic authentication and restart the app service

So, the issue is, first time we just deploy dist folder in azure app service, and after if i make any changes in code and rebuilt this in local machine, then is that service automatically get this changes or i have to redeploy this folder to the azure app service?

you have to update your azure app service with new changes when you make them, if you want continuous updates i suggest your create a CI/CD pipeline if you dont want to do it manually! and i have videos about that!

Great video very informative! But what if the model I want to be available to the front-end is different from the EF one? And how can the db queries be optimized in the case of a large and complex graph with multiple levels.

THANK YOU! well if you want the model to be available to the frontend then you need to create a model on the frontend and backend as long as you have access to both, you are always allowed to use custom models if u need to for db queries i think that would come down to understanding your db schema and only taking what u want as well as improving the db (indexing, etc...)

@@IsraelQuiroz what i mean is: What if i want the client to be able to operate only on a subset of the Database (EF Core) model or if I have data that should be organized in a different way than the Databae rapresentation? Should I query the db mapping the result to a DTO? Another question: Do you know if HotChocolate is woking on the EF Core Level in the query genration to filter the required fields or if it's filtering the fields on the response after selecting everything from the query?

If u don't make the data available via the schema then the client side can't get to it And next to handle extra mappings or custom logic and such i think u have to use Type Extensions I think that's what they are called #2. Hot chocolate uses IQueryable so it's done on the DB chillicream.com/docs/hotchocolate/v13/fetching-data/filtering

If you do a **/*.sln will it not go to a subfolder and then search for the .sln file? If that is the case then it will give an error as the solution is present in the root directory and not insider any subfolder.
