Nice song. Though it has always bothered me that it's not actually about anything. They just mention a Pakistani Cricketer, and then pretend to go and visit him in a van. They never actually say anything about Mr Miandad, other than that they're meeting him ...

Always a bit surprised when I watch this that the lead singer especially wasn't a bigger name. He could have had a great career in musical theatre if not mainstream music.

Hello and Thank you for your helpful video.How may I adjust the arm to go close to the vinyl and play music-my arm moves so easy ,kind a freeway and when I push play button-it has close to half inch distance to the record.otherwise travels fine and goes right on the beginning of the vinyl, just doesn't get close to the record. Thank you in advance.

For a bunch of young men, they clearly took their music dead seriously. These two live performances are so closely comparable to the album tracks. Still sounds like a jam session while keeping it all tight; shows dedication and rehearsal. This guy Ray Cokes is clearly playing a character for the younger generation, but the way he incorporates casual misogyny into his act starting at 5:55 didn't age well. Seems like he's enjoyed some popularity since, though.

All Benard needed was Peter Hook around to bicker with and Bernard would have had the drive to write lyrics. A "Take that you twat!" response. 3:07- A bit of 'The Model' from Kraftwerk. Nice.

Hi, do you have by chance a factory service disk with the test program? Routines 8 to 12 are not in the ROM and have to be loaded. Let me know please.
@sighkid2 ай бұрын
For the QX1? No sorry, this one came with no floppies at all. If anyone out there still has a test disk then they should probably make a disk image of it and upload it somewhere before the software vanishes forever, as I doubt there's many copies left now.
@danielforro-forrotronics39212 ай бұрын
@@sighkid This is what I'm afraid - it is lost. Similarly like data for DX11/V2 test from the cartridge.
@sighkid2 ай бұрын
@@danielforro-forrotronics3921 I doubt it would be completely lost because I would expect Yamaha themselves to have kept a copy (just because they're that kind of company.) But having said that, I can't imagine them making it available to the public either because they wouldn't see the point of doing so. So in practice it wouldn't help us anyway. Anyway I'll keep a look out for a copy :)
@danielforro-forrotronics39212 ай бұрын
@@sighkid I have been working for Yamaha ten years as a product specialist and demonstrator, and I know well that they don't keep parts and data for gear older than ten years. So the only chance would be some authorized service or the retired serviceman. Difficult.
@sighkid2 ай бұрын
@@danielforro-forrotronics3921 Ahh ok, I stand corrected :) I guess I was going by the fact that you can still download all the manuals for the QX1 from Yamaha's own site. I suppose they keep the manuals and nothing else then. I still think there will be copies out there somewhere, but finding them isn't going to be easy.
