The balcony is great, especially for scenery heavy cruises .

I checked with my friend who stayed in the cabin and she said probably not. It would be very tight and there wasn’t a couch that could be pulled out or anything.

Carnival doesn’t allow beverages in bottles. You can bring a small amount of non alcoholic beverages in your carry on in cans or cartons. You can also buy packs of water from the fun shops to be delivered onboard. Not cheap but cheaper than buying individually on ship. Their policy may change so you may want to check their website.

Not positive, but asked people we cruised with and they were 80% sure they remember grits by the oatmeal.

It’s about 20 minutes, but that felt long enough. I didn’t notice any smells or anything with the helmet. I recommend this excursion, I did it again a few years later with my son.

I am not positive but I have seen where people say they have lost their arrival time selection when they go back in with NCL check in. You might want to check on the cruise critic forums and ask there.

It made for a really long day. If I did it again, I would probably do one of the shorter train trips.

Our vegan friend loved all the food. Don’t be afraid to ask for seconds. His favorites were the soups at dinner. Also sometimes vegan desserts were near the gluten free area in the buffet, so check there. I forget if I mentioned it in the video, but the pizza people made him a pizza with just vegetables on it, they didn’t have vegan cheese.

We used Mary Lou’s Tours. We had a van to ourselves with a local guide. He took us around to the various sites.

I believe it’s called a Keffiyeh. In the case of this tour, we had to wear helmets and the scarf had elastic and went on top of the helmet.
