Surprised those protruding wheels passed an MOT we are not allowed to have protruding wheels outside the arches in the UK.

Fantastic looking truck what kind of costs is the insurance / car tax compared to the range rovers if you don't mind me asking

Very nice Jason! I gave up on Range Rovers ten years ago after a decade of grief with them.People say the L322 is better than the P38, and theL405 better than the 322. The TDV8 this the supercharged that. Truth is they are all junk. The original classic V8 is the only one worth considering and they are fortunes for a nice one and very basic. Land Cruiser was the answer for me, and never looked back. Whenever you get in something like this you realise a Range Rover is actually not a big car at all. Even given the cost of fuel you will save a fortune in the weekly repairs required on Range Rover. Fully agree with your comments on British roadworks. Why in gods name do we put up with it?

That’s awesome. I keep looking at Tahoe’s, Rams and Escalades. I just love them. American vehicles are great to drive and sound awesome. I’ll be passing your house tomorrow so I’ll stop off for a look. If you see a random guy looking around it, I’m not trying to knick it 😜 Are you putting some stainless exhausts on ? Will make it sound unreal 👌👍

Do you have an oil cooler? I have a stag for 3 month now. No problems with overheating till now, because there was a new Thermostate (? Is this the right word ) and a electric cooler added. But I am thinking about to install an oil cooler...

Really sorry to hear of this Jason, completely echo your comments on the insurance companies, the thieves, and the cops, having once been in this situation myself, all be it some time ago now. I use my old disclock on the steering wheel of anything with keyless entry now. Can phantom or Ghost immobiliser is a must on any keyless JLR product sadly now. And these things can have their own issues too! Looking forward too seeing your new wheels. Keep yer chin up mate!

Surely he's set the strobe to 12 degrees and then set the dissy at 12 degrees (ish) on the pulley so we now have a total of 24 degrees advance... if the strobe is at 12 degrees then we should be aiming for the marks to be at TDC (as the strobes clever electronics have delayed the strobe 'pulse' by 12 degress)... if the stobe is at zero then aiming for the 12 degrees marker...???

So nice to see my old 73 Range Rover in the video and glad you took a shine to her! The colour is Bahama Gold and it does indeed have its original Rover V8! Been in the family since 2002 and mine since 2019. Have grown up with this car and is one I’ll never sell. An absolutely amazing history file came with this car too and was owned by Lord and Lady Sheperd of Sheperd’s Construction from new until 1999. She’s a honest old bus and gets a fair bit of use. Have covered 1400 miles this year alone with her

I prefer the original style filter over the spin on type , many friends with stags have gone back too , the spin on base plate tends to unscrew and can be very awkward to get off without the special tool and actually makes more mess , mineral 20/50 correct, thanks for sharing,

Good to see; I have a bowl filter and it looks same as that, but no reg. Mine hangs on a strap on the left side suspension tower, so it gets a bit of airflow, and away from the heat of the engine. It has a very small pressure gauge, and never needed a reg, as my "FuelFlow" fuel pump is always the perfect pressure. But each to their own. My guage is only about an inch in dia, and while small, is big enough to read. Had my Stag 31 years, both of the above (pump and filter bowl) went on there first year I had it. Wouldn't be without them. (Fair dinkum, you said "3 bar"............. thats almost 45 PSI!!!!!! I think you mean 3 PSI, which is what that gauge was reading, and is std. :-) )

Shockingly weak design that fails regularly... you sum it up perfectly. I wont fit Euro Parts sourced crap on anything now tbh. It got to the stage I was replacing over 30% of components within 12 months. As a pro you may get the part replaced but its the devils own job to get paid the labour from them. Worse still its often cheaper to source OEM parts. FFS!
