Played this for me dad at his funeral. It was one he told me to play before he went. Think he met Phil in London in the 60’s or 70’s. He loved this song. Did it the best I could for you pops and done me best to look after the family and keep the peace. Hope to see you again one day. B

I met Phil in Detroit in 68. I was 16, working for Gene McCarthy. There was a rally at Tiger Stadium. After the speeches and the songs were over, Phil came down to talk to the kids working the rally.Most of us were way too young to vote. Phil played at almost every demonstration I ever went to and I went to a lot.
