I thought it would lengthen or shorten the ASDR knob times, but it seems to be like a wet control. Is there a global control to modify the scale of those knobs?

It's not a perfect analogy, but it reminds me a bit of the difference between using a slide to play guitar versus switching between chords manually in a rhythm. Thanks for a great and succinct video!

another way to do this on guitar would be to bend the tremolo bar at the beginning of each note/chord

Glad to have found your channel. I too love synths! My 1st synths were a JX-3P and a Juno-106 back in 1984-5. In 1992 I added a JV-80 which I still use regularly. I just finished rebuilding my home studio & purchased a bunch of old & newer toys. A couple electribes, an Alesis S4, korg M3R and my most recent buy is a Behringer Odyssey.

Yeah it's totally appreciated. Too many youtubers want to sit grinning in front of the camera for too long, padding out a 2 min video into a 10 minute life story.

if the hardware synth lists "glide" or "portamento" among its features then it should do this. google synths that have glide or synths that have portamento and you should find plenty of options!

Hello dan, you make the most stupid shit lessons i could imagine. Aux envelope? Is that even a term? Do you go to your music shop and ask if this nice synth has an aux envelope? Just a beginner who wants to make videos because he knows how a synth is working. Really bad stuff.

That was a very good way to explain the difference between LFO & envelopes. The way you simplified it made it stick(it loops a sound shape vs envelopes which deal w/ how a sound starts & finishes)...I dont think I'll ever forget what LFO is again.

bad and wrong video paraphonic just means that, while each oscillator can be played individually, there is usually only one envelope for the amp/filter that retriggers with each new note press, and is applied to all currently playing oscillators at once
