Same with "emotional eating", which is just another way of blaming the victim of a very complex disease. Genetics, socio-economic circumstances, stress (cortisol levels), access to affordable healthy food, overabundance of carbohydrates in the standard diet, one's ability to cook, and dozens of other factors all contribute to obesity.
