I don't know much about music and don't know how to play an instrument (other than drums), but to me you sounded great! Keep going!

First off I wanna say that I’m not a very good blues player so sorry if my playing sucked. But the amp sounds great! A bit disliked by tube amp snobs but if you work with em they can sound great.

Peavey Vypyr VIP 1 with the flanger preset with the peavey bass preset I believe. This was awhile ago so don’t remember the exact settings.

So when I plug my guitar through my focusrite, it’ll play with the sounds from the neural DSP plugins through the computer monitors? Is that how it works and no need for a DAW?
@arturogardunoguitar28 күн бұрын
Neural DSP has the ability to run its outputs via realtek computer audio or through an audio interfaces output to external speakers. It’s better to run through the audio interface to avoid latency and it also sounds better. This only works properly if you have focusrite control installed. No DAW is needed and most DAW’s can be set up automatically or manually to be run with Neural DSP and will utilize the ASIO from the focusrite control to run stereo or mono inputs to a DAW. Navigate the settings of Neural DSP and change your output to your external speakers or Analogue Focusrite USB. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I used a Peavey Vypyr VIP 1. I believe I used the 6505 preset on it. Peavey modeling amps are underrated beasts!

Hi, any way of getting to hear this through wireless headphones that are USB linked to your PC? I basically want to be a able to play and chat on discord at the same time while hearing both through the same headphones
@arturogardunoguitarАй бұрын
Hi thanks for reaching out! So I’m not too familiar with how discord is set up but I assume discord has a way to change your audio inputs in settings. It should say Neural DSP or something like that. But I wouldn’t be surprised if there is latency since I don’t know if discord uses ASIO or just USB audio. You probably could install an ASIO software for discord or something like that but again I’m not too sure. As for being able to hear and play, you can directly monitor audio through any Focusrite through its headphone jack. Both the plugin and computer audio.

Tbh i feel as schecters are easier to tune by ear cause i can actually hear the notes better on those than any other guitar
@arturogardunoguitar2 ай бұрын
I agree. Generally guitars with more resonance are easier to tune in my opinion. Especially with good tuners. The machines on this particular shecter are Grover’s which are great.

Appreciate it! Granted my ear may not be perfect all the time, I’d say playing and tuning by ear is one of the most important things a musician can learn. It can be tough but it’s not impossible. Best of luck to you! 🤘

As a fellow guitarist that hurt so much when no one gave you kudos for Big Sur Moon. They don’t realize the amount of effort and skill it takes to learn that and the amount of work it takes to dial in that perfect tone and delay. But that performance rocked bro you definitely deserved that first place win 💯👊🏼

Ive seen your talent show video. Absolutely amazing!! When did you start to learn guitar, and does learning hard solos help?
@arturogardunoguitar3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it! I got my first guitar in 2014. Played on and off and didn’t get serious till about 2016. Rocksmith 2014 is how I learned like 80 or 90% of the stuff I play today. It has amazing tutorials on techniques for beginners and intermediate players. So I never took any in lessons. In terms of learning hard solos, I’d say learn what you want to learn first. Then if you want to get into the harder stuff, go for it. The first few years I was only able to play AC/DC or Metallica stuff. I have been playing for 10 years now and now I’m playing Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan, Jason Becker and Buckethead stuff. But I’m always trying to improve. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone but don’t overdo it cause when people try to do the hard stuff immediately and can’t get the hard stuff down they end up quitting.
