She’s not saying that zb1 aren’t mistreated wor treated badly, the difference is that they are actually given more opportunities because they are men, that’s why it’s misogyny. This isn’t just in wake one but in almost every company and wider social structures, look at the fact that every gendered reality show in Korea starts with a female version to test which has less budget and opportunities and then renews with a male version with a higher budget and more likely to be viewed (girls planet > boys planet, street woman fighter > street man fighter, produce 101 with girls > produce 101 with boys, queendom > kingdom, etc

@@paradisenow___you can still cement an identity with two comebacks (and ruin them with 2 comebacks) look at me serraphim and fearless and then antifrgaile, now I didn’t like fearless but it certainly cemented what their sound and concert would be and then carried that on with anti fragile. Look at stayc, even though so bad and asap are nothing a like they showed exactly what sort a group they were- fun, high concept girly pop! The problem with Zb1s creative direction (and no I don’t blame the boys but the people who actually do the creative direction at their company) is that they secured themselves a great debut which was well received because it continued from boys planets success (their most popular songs being say my name and jelly pop). For the next comeback they just needed to really continue this again to retain fans that liked them since bp and to gain new ones who liked their debut but weren’t hard core fancy yet (and in bloom was popular because it didn’t sound like a typical bg song!!). Instead this comeback has confused their identity completely, sure it wasn’t the worse bg loud music song ever but it still completely ruins the momentum built by in bloom and is a dissapponting mini album too. Melting point isn’t bad but isn’t really strong enough for a title track and crush is a disappointing song both in how it sounds and in the concept! I understand that they want to show that zb1 can do tough concept too blah blah but honestly for a short term group like them and Kepler they need to focus on doing what they are good for and building on success rather than hedge their bets and confuse audiences. Even through this is just their first comeback I already feel like we could have a Kepler part 2 which would be so sad because Kepler had and has so much talent and even has a good discography’s it’s good b sides and some good title tracks but their concept and visual direction is so all over the place that it has really ruined their opportunity to be a larger group. In K-pop it’s not really about just music or performance it’s more about creating a strong overall concept and direction for the group and then building the relationship between fans and the group from there but this comeback is already weakening ZB1s image and concept so hopefully they can get back to their strengths.
