This is a really good video and I wish there were more like it on other characters. Most videos are just punish guides, but when you play a game people don't use the standard moves, they use variations, candles and unpunishable moves

I like to hit f2 or b21 cancel into hydroplane, if they try to punish me they get punished instead, and if they keep blocking just cancel the hydroplane and grab or continue the pressure

Its a crime this game isnt more readily available. This is a good example of why i dont like digital only content. This game needs a rerelease, preferably a physical rerelease/ port.

So I've gotten into a Castlevania mood. As a kid I enjoyed the first one, gave up on the second one, played through the 3rd one once. I started looking online at rom hacks and now looking at reviews of some of them. This looks like it'll scratch that itch, and I get to play through the first game near the end also, bonus. You can get for not much higher price Focusrite Gen 4 and Shure SM58 combo that is perfect and Shure SM58 has been go to mic for years even before you were born... it was shorter than the original because it was in development @ the same time as 2 was. same team did it. even capcom said this. hence Y it has events in it that are during 2 and right after unlike the original that takes place right after 2. its about 50% shorter. missing 50% from racoon city its self and 50% of the hospital. places added was subway and power plant. also the start of the game was altered. if you want to play this game in a improved way I highly recommend playing the game in VR

people seem to not like the kameo system in mk1, I think its what makes it unique! Granted I've only played MK11 and MK1 but it seems like MK1 has so many creative kombos and ways to play compared to other MK games. I've played as all of the ninjas and Scorpion's my favorite, I've been struggling to get creative with using the Kameos though, so thanks!

I've always loved the original game-kernel concept and design... it just needed to be bigger, more polished, more thought-out, more towns and occult townsfolk puzzles (hidden awesome extras that you could find it you talked to enough of townsfolk and reasoned various riddles out), more spells, more and different types of weapons, more rpg elements (akin to SOTN), and every mansion should be almost as big as an entire Castlevania game (like a different Dracula castle per mansion) OR simply progress to the giant castle where Dracula resides and make that the second half of the game... I could go crazy with a remake of Castlevania 2 and it would be over a terabyte... if a game dev ever would want to work w me on it, i can give you detailed perfect layout instructions because I have sat musing and mapping out this exact thing for fun since I was young... I'm 42. I should be grown up by now - NOPE. It's just always been a dream... STILL on my mind because I know how good it could be. .You could even make it a multiplayer game where each player could tackle the same or different parts o the game on his/her own as another character associated w Simon.... Different moves for each character - double as many as each Street Fighter V character. It would have novel elements that would make each play through utterly unique. this would be the only game you need. I'm telling you dude... this would be a big project but be great. It would take time and require some kind of a giant venture capitalist/Kickstarter investment.

I seriously don’t get why Konami has such a weird anti consumer approach to Castlevania. They keep releasing these games with super limited reach, and if it weren’t for preservationists, they’d be lost forever. Like Konami is truly an awful company. These rare games would be easy money if they just put a little effort into their IPs. They’ve already done collections like Advance, Dominus, and Anniversary, so why not do the same for all these hard-to-find games? There's definitely interest in these games, even if some are hit or miss. But that's for the public to decide, everyone has their own taste. Regardless, people will play them if they're easily accessible. This franchise is only still alive because of the hardcore fans, otherwise it would’ve been forgotten a long time ago with how badly Konami treats it. They either do the bare minimum for these games or botch releases in the most bizarre ways, almost like they're doing it out of spite, just to watch it fail. It’s genuinely frustrating. Honestly, it feels like after Ecclesia, Konami lost the ability to make Castlevania games. They just keep rehashing the old ones over and over or go in completely different directions that only hurt the brand. Why can’t they just make a proper new 2D Castlevania Classicvania or Igavania game?
