Because Toncontin Airport it considered the second dangerous airport in the planet. The approaching is difficult and the runway is very short. The pilots must have special training to land the planes there. So that is the reason why people were so happy!

no idea! they might have been doing a contract for another airline and just doing their route? possibly american airlines or something. this sure as hell isnt one of sun country's destinations! lol

Pilots are not "more awesome" you either follow procedures and are safe or think your a super hero and end up in flames simple as that. There have been accidents all pilot error last one was TACA 390 you can research and find that TACA admited pilot error, then in 97 a USAF C130 landed with higher speed than recommended hence crashing also pilot error, the rest where either on the 60s or on approach, that is not an accident on the aeirport itself.

@jonathan97s Name me one that has not been pilot error let's see, and yes I do fly and I do land fairly often there as it is where i reside.

ALL of them where pilot error none at all has been fault of the airport at all. And yes I do fly a lot to that airport and never had a problem at all. It is safe so long as you follow procedures, AA has been operating for well over 20 years and never had a single incident on it.
