I have been thinking lately (not for the first time) that when we fill every waking hour with technological/media stimulus, we deprive ourselves of quiet (even silent) time in which to hear God speak. As my patterns of life have changed (now with retirement), I am struggling against the temptation to just having something playing so much of the time (music, an audiobook, a podcast) that I fear I'm crowding out the time to contemplate, or even to let my mind wander, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. What might I be missing? What messages? What peace?

Stop trying to spiritualize money. There's nothing wrong with money or success, but there's nothing spiritual about them either. While we're at it don't listen to that incredible interpretation the church's put on the saying of Jesus, that should render unto Ceasar that which is Caesar's and render unto God that which is God's. The church's use that saying to try and raise money. But Jesus wasn't talking about money. He was saying this; Let Ceasar have the things of this world, for they are nothing. Let God have your spirit, for it is everything. Truth.

God isn't a child abuser so rip Genesis out your bibles people. Food for thought for the people. One hart One Love.
