What type of oil?
@motorcyclerepairtorbay2 ай бұрын
Always refer to manufacturers recommendations for fork oil weight and quantity but for this bike in particular it was 10w fork oil

I owned one for years and never found it uncomfortable, except in the wrists, but this is because it has race geometry.

Thank for your video, i know from personal experience of a low battery, i have put load on the bike with a low battery through ignorance on my part of that starting process by unfortunately letting the battery get low because it wasn't being ridden, one thing in aprilia manual that not many people talk about is aprilia advice you to pull the clutch in on starting to help the bike start, i think from memory its to do with the sprag clutch by dont quote me on that, the wiring i didn't know about that upgrade, but u can do a 150amp stator upgrade which is worthwhile and put a heavy duty battery and uprated battery leads on it to,, mine has the 150amp stator on it and it helps,,another thing people use is a trickle charger, i use a solariser which is just that a solar panel that trickle charges the battery...oh and i scrapped the copper ngk plugs and put irriduim in makes it start alot better.

The clutch ruble is normal on ALL cbr 900/929/954 even from new. When clutch pulled it it go's and when let out it comes back. Thats normal for most bikes. Even my 3000 mile z1000 does it. Its nothing to worry about at all. I have bought over 130 cbr 929s and every one has done it.

Might have missed it but didn’t see any fasteners on the B King torqued up, how did the Gixxer pass a mot without mirrors or aren’t they a necessity ?
@motorcyclerepairtorbay4 ай бұрын
Everything that needs to be torqued up is always torqued with a calibrated torque wrench, just sometimes doesn’t get caught on camera unfortunately. And no mirrors are not a necessity for bikes in the uk although we would always advise that you have mirrors fitted.

Congrats on such a comprehensive and informative tutorial! You are very good at explaining this stuff! Thanks so much! What beats me is how someone can manage to wear out an almost brand new Honda SH, supposedly the most reliable bike on the market.

Got to say, it seems a waste to pay someone to remove the quick shifter, just to make a few bucks (if anything after your labour)... Loved your "safety squints". We've all been there.

Yeah it baffles me too for what they’re worth it may as well have stayed on the bike it’s not worth paying someone to remove, Completely agree with you there!

Are you planning to show how to change Drive Oil? I have a Honda SH125 2021 and I don't know which bolt are for draining the oil and which are for adding it.
@warrenr46 ай бұрын
I’ve got the same bike. (Year and colour) Last summer I took it on a three month European tour. Mostly wild camping in Scandinavia. I did over 13,000 miles and the bike was faultless. All I did was an oil change and tyres. It cruised at 80mph on the motorways and tackled forest roads and trails no problem. 80 plus mpg, bombproof reliability, manageable weight , seat height etc etc the list goes on. I love this bike !
