One way to quickly drop and stay organized with PC screws you take off is to get the - PATIKIL 24 Grids Mini Portable Walnut Watercolor Palette to drop them into. You can drop a different category of screw in separate wells on it. You'll want to tape it down hard to your desk so you don't accidentally hit it and all your screws go flying all over the place. You could also buy a pack of those micro zip-lock bags and label them. I tend to take screen shots of YT videos like this (in various stages of disassembly) and inset the image in a photo editing program (so there's a white border left all around the image on the paper - to write notes on later - when it comes out of my printer). I then draw arrows on the printed paper indicating - the black short screws go here, here and here, the long silver screws go here, here and here - in order to keep track of it all for re-assembly later. If there's no YT video available, I just take pictures with my phone (as I disassemble) and then do the same thing with the white border later.

The VVT valve is NOT the problem... symptoms point to oxygen sensors going bad. The fault won't show a check engine light or on the scanner right away.
