Hey all. I just finally got around to opening this up. I'll be poking around shortly. There are some cold solder joints and I was planning on replacing some electrolytics as good house keeping if nothing else. I also replaced the main power supply electrolytic caps as well.

Doesn't work well with a bass. Might try second input, gain to zero, treble middle and bass to 3. EQ settings to zero or negative settings. Head is designed for multi speaker cabinet as well.

Did you get the amp fixed ? Sounds like something is loose and the vibrations are causing an intermittent contact to reveal itself. Could be very simple, I've fixed a few amps like that. Open it up and poke around with a plastic pen see if you can spot loose components. Cheers !

It's a guitar head, I bought it new with matching 9 x 8" cabnet, 5 of the 8" are crossed over for high end. Also, the pre eqs are not straight eqs. The bass also controls the mids, treble is on its own before the signal goes to the 4ch eq. Don't know why you would try to run a bass through this.

Yeah, this is every large venue sound person now. I asked him to make it "less boomy" in soundcheck but he ignored me. In the end I didn't think it was TOO bad.
