When you realize that in a lot of ways, Endeavor had the potential to become a greate hero than All Might. Just that his ambition got the better of him. 1. Unlike All Might who got his powers by blessing, Endeavor was more like Deku, having to work his ass off ten times as hard just to master his quirk. 2. All Might was blessed with his quirk and didn't have to put in as much effort to Master OFA. Gran Torino even said it, his physique was a perfect match for OFA. Meanwhile Endeavor had to undergo the hardship to train a quirk that is hard to master. 3. His Hellflame Quirk is powerful. It might not be as strong as One For All but Endeavor makes up for it by being a natural born hero, something All Might wasn't. Too bad he became an Abuser and wife beater

In my eyes, Endeavor can never truly redeem himself, it's implied that he forced himself upon his wife multiple times on top of being an abusive parent. That's not something you ever come back from imo. But Endeavor isn't supposed to be a character that redeems himself. His arc is more about accountability than redemption. In spite of his reprehensible actions, in spite of doing things he can't come back from, he tries to be better even though there's nothing in it for him. Which, in its own way, is a form of heroism. So while he's never going to be a good person, he's still trying.
