It's most likely a subspecies to the Central Asian Shepherd. And has evolved into the sarabi dog due to its climate drought, famine and war of the region it lives in

I had a really nice Hungarian typical Kuvasz, I don't recommend in any way having one of these in a city - only if you have a huge house and don't bother of them barking at any noise (which may also annoy all your neighbors)... Mine one was highly intelligent, intuitive and independent. The type of dog that knows how, when to react, without being overly aggressive. One occasion I had the other half of the gate open without noticing, after coming home from walking him, and he jump on a guy passing by the house, he didn't bite him, just stood with his pawn over the guy's shoulder and barked at his face, so as to tell hem to back off his territory - I couldn't apologize enough to him, and the dog didn't hurt him at all, only tried to assert that that was his territory. Probably if it was another breed, it could have attacked.. Luckily it was Kuvasz. Really smart, lightly boned, extremely agile and protective, and very fast for its size. If you live under cold weather in a farm, an isolated countryside house, or a castle is an amazing animal to interact with.. The dog really cared for anything happening around and would bark at any noise, even from a long distance. It seems his temperament is typical of a dog that needed to protect livestock in huge territories against beers and wolfs, and his white fur was developed to blend in with the sheep for some reason.

Idk if those dogs are tibetan mastiffs in the video. A tibetan mastiff towers over a cat which is either a lynx or a bobcat. The dogs in the video are barely same size as the cat 😂

Bravo. Finally a good explanation of a dog breed. And not only caucasian shepherd. Many guardian dogs aren't suitable for living in urban areas. All of them have a history and genetics of war, hunting and guarding a homestead against wild animals and humans. These are tough dogs for tough people, living a tough life. As far as guarding and protection goes, every owner should ask himself a question is he capable of protecting himself and his family at a bare minimum. If he is then he knows what it takes to defend and protect against psychologically deranged, high on drugs etc people. It has nothing to do with pretty laws and respecting human rights. As soon as someone is trying to put you and your family at risk he /they lost those rights. People that created those breeds and I mean a lot of the breeds (caucasian, alabai, sarplaninac, kangal, but also cane corso, presa, rotweiller,....) were very well aware of this. Modern practice of trying to make a poodle out of a rotweiller or lets say dogo argentino is at least immature thinking. Also breeding practice where agression is suppressed and focus is on looks much more than temperament is destroying those breeds. Sorry for the rant. I restrain myself from writing comments on KZbin, but I had to do it since this is first video I found where a breed is described in a proper way, and for that i congratulate you.

We bred two registered german boxers mama fawn and dad brindle and we got one pure white not albino baby boy, rest of the 7 were brindle boys and girls. We had to keep him no one wanted him, and best dog ever, but use sunscreen. He was ugly as hell but so smart and nice. White boys can dance too, so we called him Justin Timberlake. And what a boy for a white boy too. All his babies came out brindle???? Odd we bred him with a fawn girl.

In Europe, although they cannot be registered, the white ones are becoming more and more popular... They are nice and it is quite ridiculous why they were banned 100 years ago (as we told it in the video).

COMPARE THESE TWO ARGUMENTS "Islam endorses war (jihad) to impose its law (Sharia) across the world. Therefore, Islam approves of killing people across the world. Muslims are dangerous - your Muslim neighbour literally wants to knife your little daughter and then blow up the local McDonalds." "Liberalism endorses war (e.g., colonialism, humanitarian intervention, military occupation) to impose its law (international human rights law) across the world. Therefore liberalism approves of killing people across the world. Liberals are dangerous - your liberal neighbour literally wants to knife your little daughter and then blow up the local mosque." Why do so many idiots find the first argument logical and compelling, while they find the second argument illogical and absurd? Aren't both arguments illogical and absurd? Do you want to know why the US is broken and subject to an increasingly totalitarian surveillance regime? It is because the American people allowed themselves to be duped by absurd arguments into endorsing the "Global War on Terrorism" - spending 8 trillion dollars and agreeing to give the government unlimited surveillance/policing powers in the name of "fighting terrorism/extremism" as characterized by the first argument above.

Being 74 years old and having a dog is something I grew up with, my dad always got mixed breeds dogs and the first dog I had when I was 18 was a malamute and his name was NaNu which is polar bear in the native tongue. He was a great dog and I took him backpacking on a 17 month trip I went on. The next day was a cross between an Akita Kuvas cross and his name was Ninja. Following his death I got a Kuvas male and he lived a long time- during that time I was raising my family in a remote area and often spent nights away from the family- I would always leave him to guard the family which he always did. After he passed away I was looking for a new dog and on a poster in the Vets office I saw a dog they called the Old Man’s dog - a wire haired pointing Griffin. Not ever having seen or heard of them before , well I found a breeder and got myself on. I used to hunt chucker and shoot ducks and lo and behold he’s a great dog and still with me- he’s 14 years old and besides being a little deaf is still in good shape . His is Huckleberry and call him Huck .

Well I had Tosa 35 yrs ago in the very beginning when they came to the US.. He was a great dog, 160lbs and I didn't worry about him with people at all!! If I was good with you he was good with you.. So my wife had a garage sale and he sat just inside our gate and people would go pet him no worries.. But a couple people came up and my wife was worried they were going to steal and once he felt her being scared he jumped up and went off barking and lunged at the gate and they left!! It even scared her since she never saw him be aggressive at all..A great sense of their humans.. But they are not dog friendly at all!! They are fighting dogs, if they are raised with dogs they are fine but they do not tolerate other dogs at all!!!! So if you can handle a 110 to 180lb dog and are not new to dogs maybe you can get one.. Not for new dog owners.. I loved him but kind of a problem I had to be so careful around other dogs.. And I loved him Titan my boy.. Then I got an American Bulldog and he was a dominate dog so he was very picky who he would be good with so again I loved him great with people, again if I was good with you he was good with you.. But his dominance again was what dog was he going to be good with.. So I went back to Labs I can take her anywhere and anyone can watch her when I go on vacation, they are so easy.. So Tosa's are great dogs but nit easy and not for everyone, if you want to meet other dogs stay away .. But they are quiet dogs .. Good luck

My close friend has one, i couldn't enter the house with her being out and there are instances where she has gone for other visitors after they startled her or just came close. I was petrified of her, i let her sniff me nd sat next to her but what really did it was me sharing an onion bahdji with her. Now I can't go round without her pawing at the stair gate and then she will sit on me and lick me but i can grab her collar and calm her down. God forbid anyone ever enters that house when all the stair gates are open

14:46 This photo is older than Albania. And it's a perfect example where to search for good Šarplaninac, military kennel in Niš (Naissa) or around in Paraćin, Leskovac or in Macedonia, Montenegro,Republic of Srpska... If you are from Hungary you can find excellent dogs in Serbian province Voivodina close to Hungry... No need to go anywhere else. In Sharplanina only Gorani people have good dogs (they are Muslims but Serbs by genetics) . Be careful of Albanian fraudsters . They make noise because they are revisionist (historically) and don't have their own identity.

I had a miniature bull terrier for 14 years. He was very smart!! Best breed ever! IF YOU BECOME A BULLY PERSON and devote time to learn about them, and teach them. They learn better through word conditioning. He understood everything I would say to him. He didn’t have separation anxiety. Wasn’t afraid of fireworks or storms. When he felt like he wanted to go to the vet, he would let me know. Today would have been his 15th birthday. I miss that little guys. My advice is to learn all you can about the breed. Bully proof your house. They will chew up a lot of things you wouldn’t believe! Lol (My bully never had to have zipper surgery to remove anything)! And CHERISH YOUR BULLY AND PROTECT HIM FROM OTHERS!! Don’t let anyone tease him either!! That is the worst thing you can do to any dog, much less a bully.
