Followed your video and was an earlier process than I thought. Cheers for that.

Brilliant. This video should be used as a how to guide to produce YT videos. No waffle no music and no general padding. Thank you.😀

Any reason why you put the bolts in upside down?

Great question. I choose to do it that way if it comes loose I can see 😊

How’s the wind noise?
@Frankiegish Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your honesty I’m reluctant to get one I thought being low profile it would be good.
@scottrocky541 Жыл бұрын
The wind noise is horrible, I've contacted Rhino about it they offered rubber infills that made no difference Rhino also suggested I fit a light bar across the front of the rack ,that didn't change the noise Not recommended if you like the quite of the landcruiser

Be interesting to see how the river has changed after some wild floods we have had recently. All our girls, 2 or 4 legged are all pretty special in our eyes hehe

Love to see your weight with the bull bar and steps- with full tank of fuel + 2,adults you would be so close to max gvm without any tow load! Great vid with your choice of accessories to get out on the road - damn expensive to do a lc200 with mods and accessories!

Hey Tony we have done a gvm upgrade recently and have a new van on the way I'll get some weights when it arrives might do a vid on it
@tonyf79972 жыл бұрын
@@scottmiles7560 - what gvm+ did you do? I’m looking at both DMW 4495 and the Lovells 4200- I’m just on 3350 with fuel and no camping gear let alone water or van 😔 Toyota really do not understand Aussie requirements!

Thanks Scott Im jmust about too tackle this job, was goingm to get the installert at the place I bought it to do it for me but they happened to mention they would have to drill into my roof to install it and all sorts of alarm bells wnet off so I took it home to do! At least if I screw up I can only blame myself. One question, do you have a link to the measurements for where to place the bolts on the rack when you go to fit it to the backbone? You mention som ething in your video but dont give the link? Cheers

FYI - the Butyl patch is intentionally undersized for the hole so the butyl is caught by the thread and sealed both the thread and hole at the same time.
@scottmiles75602 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info ,I just wasn't willing to take the chance of a leaking roof so I sealed it

Great idea with the kmart bag, and really like your pragmatic ways that you've fitted it out.

Thanks heaps. Sometimes you don’t have to spend the big bucks to make life a little easier ;)
@mjgolab2 жыл бұрын
@@scottrocky541 absolutely, given the quite considerable cost of these rigs - eg even an early LC200 is still >$36K, I'm sure you can blow double or triple that in fitting it out.

You’re really not going to put a fish that small back in? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Disgraceful (and illegal! For good reason)
@scottrocky5413 жыл бұрын
Hi Arlie M We appreciate your comment. When we catch fish we ensure we are following the Qld gov laws by checking the type, size and limit per person allowed. These fish we caught on this day are winter whiting with no size limit.

Im with you bro, we just can’t go out and buy everything “top quality and brand new” it’s just ridiculously expensive. Some people do but most of us get buy for now and upgrade the important things. A build off a 200 series takes time and money...good job 👍
