Nice video, also at 3:41 it isn’t a Dash 9, it’s an ES44DC in H2, some people like me call them “Pre-Production GEVOs.”

Yeah I figure I didn’t see the side plates near the cab till after I said dash 9

Fun fact: the first two trains in this video were involved in a wreck about 15 minutes after you caught them. What happened was the BNSF train made it to division street first with 5959 leading, about a minute passed and then a UP train began taking the curve to pass by Union Depot. at the same time the UP started taking the curve, the CP train with 8737 leading had ran a red and came around the bend noticing the UP at the last second and colliding into the second unit of the UP train. No injuries. I got pictures of the 8737 in October of 2021 sitting in the storage tracks next to the St. Paul shops, and a second time in May of 2023 outside the shops for the first time in a year and a half across the turntable for the shops on the other side.

0:13 That isn’t a Dash 9, it’s a ES44DC with the H2 paint scheme. The reason they don’t have H3 paint is because they were BNSF’s first set. Nice video though!

Those bonnets still look good paired up. Shame the engineer was *that* engineer…the one that hates rail fans and as such turns off his lights whenever he sees one (which is against the rules, BTW)

Yeah he always gives me a look when he goes by like I’m the scum of the world or that I’m the bad person for just being there

@@railfancolbyproductions9071yeah 😢it’s pretty depressing I have yet to encounter him on the mainline but hopefully someday I can give him a little greeting back what if I came out with a giant poster that said TURN YOUR LIGHTS ON!!!! then maybe he’d learn

I listen to a radio scanner that tell me and I have a group that I follow that has a spreadsheet of symbols that have it. It’s a spreadsheet but after a while you can tell which is which
