@@PhillpB you jetpack higher if you stop jetpacking for a split second when your fuel is at 50% and restart jetpacking. It goes way higher than using all the fuel in one try

Not entirely sure about fire rate (I’ll get back to you on that), but I know that certain enemies are a lot more aggressive on PC due to the mechanism which determines their behavior being tied to frame rate. Every frame there is a “tick” where the enemy decides whether or not to attack you, so when you’re at 60 fps versus 30, the enemies go through these ticks twice as fast and are twice as likely to react to you and attack. Certain other mechanics like steering the Sabre in Long Night of Solace also is affected by frame rate, where increasing the frame rate allows you to turn much faster. It affects a surprising amount of things. I believe that at least the shade turrets have increased fire rate on pc

@@1dayton okay, i see. thanks. i remember playing ODST on LASO and the Halo Completionist was able to sneak up behind a brute and melee him, but i was never able to melee the brute on PC. and i am playing at 165 fps. that makes sense. that being said, do you play at a lower frame rate on pc, and do you think there is a big difference gameplay wise? i am not sure how that would factor into affecting speedrunning records

@@nathanrwin I play at 120 fps. The enemies being more aggressive sounds like it’d be a bad thing for speed runs, but them being more aggressive actually means that they’re much more predictable, so pretty much all runners on PC will put their fps 60 or above (their is no difference in ticks above 60, at 120 fps the enemies will still act off 60 ticks). Also about the fire rate, from asking around it sounds like certain enemies will fire faster, but not because their fire rate is tied to fps, but also because of the increased ticks. They will “decide” to shoot more often from what I understand

Yeah, WRs are more a testament to the runners patience and perseverance rather than their skill. Once you have the aim and precision it takes as well as the route down it's pretty much just "farming" for good RNG. That's what seperates normal and good players from WR speedrunners.

@@DemoniteBL I do agree it takes a bit of patience and getting blessed by Mother Luck & RNGesus can indeed result into a WR, but even though it's a grind, you still need to have skill to get consistent times which is more important then farming good RNG. I've seen dayton stream before and I know he's 1 of a few people who can get this level to a sub 10 on a consistent rate. The thing about RNG is you gotta adapt to it and improvise, and yeah failures might occur and you got to have patience, but I would still give the runner credit for his skill, aiming and precision is part of that as well as having the knowledge and reaction speed to improvise to the AI's movement, dayton even does 2 box launches which is not as easy as it seems since he has to avoid a softlock during the first launch. So yeah, I would say skill is still an important factor to get closer and closer to a a speedrun WR or any other record related, be that sports, hobbies etc... Now winning the lottery, that's just plain luck and doesn't require any skill lmao. Anyways have a fun weekend
