So sad there aren't many family owned and operated stores these days. Kroger and Walmart along with Amazon are destroying them.

The fact they were still airing a 1978 promo in 1992 is amazing.

HBO, before original programming, and even then most of it seemed forgetable, like "The Sopranos," and it took "Curb," and "Rome," and "GOT" to make them quality, was more like hostel TV in comparison. There's a reason why Cinemax was more expensive to have with a sattelite provider. Cinemax was quality polished TV. "SCTV" was their hit show "Seinfeld" stomps "Curb" anyways
@robjackson5245Ай бұрын
Cinemax was the premiere network of the hit movies that stupid HBO could never get: "Godfather 3," "Boyz n the hood," "Juice," "Fresh" (yes I mean the hood drug movie), "GoodFellas" (irony once again as stupid "Sopranos" on HBO based themselves on a movie that would never agree with them, how pathetic), "Inside Monkey Zetterland," "Bee Movie," "Big Fat Liar," "Chasing Liberty," "American Crime," much like WWOR had some of those movies too. And UPN had them too UPN stomped The WB all 11 years.

Distributed by Columbia Pictures Television, later Columbia TriStar Television Distribution, Columbia TriStar Domestic Television and Sony Pictures Television since 2002, reruns of Who's the Boss? entered off-network syndication to premiere in September 11, 1989; the show was a success in syndication and was offered to local stations including Los Angeles-based KCAL-TV and Secaucus, New Jersey-based WWOR-TV throughout the 1990s. From 2004 to 2007, the show was syndicated through The Program Exchange. The show left syndication in 2015.

Pizza Hut had some great movie promotions back in the day. As a kid I also vividly remember their Land Before Time promo, when they had puppets. The Hut used to be such a normal, cool place. The ones by me always seemed to have those Ms. Pac-Man cocktail table style arcade games. Nowadays, my taste in pizza has evolved, but I pretty much don’t have it anyway because of how unhealthy it is. But back in the day ignorance was just bliss I guess.

I worked on this show! There is so little of this show online, I was lucky to find this clip to confirm that some pictures that I have of the set were actually from this show, since they were unmarked all these years! My pix show those chairs and the reddish box on the coffee table by the TV, so now I know! Thanks! :)

From 1:25, How cool KCPT December 1986 Pledge Free promo, I couldn't imagine that the majority of PBS stations are replacing their Membership Pledge Drives with pledge-free campaigns, pledge lite campaigns, quiet on the set campaigns, silent pledge campaigns, and even "No Pleading Aloud" campaigns by using the pledge breaks with music and from national celebrities, My local PBS station KPBS for San Diego, California did conducted its usual December 1986 Membership Pledge Drive from Friday December 5th through Tuesday December 16th, 1986 but until August 1987 it conducted its Summer Membership Campaign under the title "Pledge Lite", meaning half the time of asking membership support for just 2 weekends (Saturday August 15th through Monday August 17th and Friday August 21st through Sunday August 23rd, 1987) and for its Winter Membership Campaign (Friday November 27th through Sunday December 6th, 1987) it went back to normal but only far fewer minutes of pledging than in the past, TV Worth Watching is TV Worth Paying For!!
